I think we should take a flyer on Johan Petro. Yeah hes a scrub but hes a big body on defense who can handle BIG centers like hibbert. He doesnt need to play a lot of minutes or shoot the ball; Id be happy with him as our 15th man. But at least he has some NBA starters experience.

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

In a perfect world Tyson would be gone right now...so would A'mare. Ivan kmart and any of the big men signed thus of season is better value than 14 million dollar Tyson and 20+ million dollar A'mare.

Petro's jumpshots and his recent freethrow %(as of 2 last years) are his biggest assets. In every other aspect of the game he is just not very good (8 year nba player we are talkin about). Pretty much I do not want him on the team, see my Hamed Haddadi responses for a much better option

for the record, there are NO reports linking the knicks to Petro. Its an idea i thought of (just trying to be creative)

If Petro is not very good then, Hamed Haddaddi is awful. im not looking for a superstar to back up tyson. just a big man who knows what hes doing. This guy (only 28), has started many games in the past two years (nets and hawks)..so he has experience

How come Petro can make a jump shot and shoot the jump hook well and Tyson can't? I though Tyson was a better player....

2 different players -- one guy's a 4 that might be able to play a little 3 at times; the other guy's a legit C. We could use both for more depth.

He can't. In an 8 year NBA career he's shot over 45% from the field three times. The other 5 years he's shot 41% three times, 43%, and 44% and he's a 46% career shooter.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

And his jumpshot is the best part of his game. Petro does not belong in the NBA. Don't worry guys he is not coming to the Knicks.

Watched Petro quite a bit when he was on the Nets. He might not be a bad signing but I would be a lot more excited about Haddadi.

I'm just talking about the jumpshot and hook shoot....a scrub has that in his arsenal yet all world center like Tyson does not. Does working on his game consist of weights and cardio? Let me find out Tyson hours to the nysc too

2 different players -- one guy's a 4 that might be able to play a little 3 at times; the other guy's a legit C. We could use both for more depth.

For Ivan Johnson, I think you are just looking at his height, and trying to justify his position at SF
He is a undersized PF/C, nothing is wrong with that, I don't think many people watched Atlanta or Ivan Johnson actually play but I have watched him for the past 2 years on limited basis, not just vs the Knick's either

Similar to Kmart, Blaire, Jason Maxiel, Glen Davis, and many other players who are all undersized PF/C

It is almost calling Faried a G/F with great rebounding ability and great athleticism
Melo is closer to a SG than Ivan is to a small forward

Height is not the only deciding factor when it comes to defining a position and productivity of a team
Not nearly as important as other physical abilities, skills, weakness's of the player, and the ability to DEFEND the position
If height was the greatest factor, we should play a line up of

JR/Iman
Melo
AB/Artest
AB/Kmart/STAT
Chandler

I tried to assemble a line up that actually has other skills to with their height too, not just a team with height to prove a point, like 5 Shaq's, CWEB's, but 5 Pippens, Magic Johnson's, or Lebron's might work LOL

Just my opinion and not a personal attack btw, agree with a lot of your posts in general
