Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

I saw a lot of Darius as I was watching all the Lakers games and he got better as the year went along. He's not explosive or standout in any particular way, but he had some good moments. I'm not in love with his game or anything, but he looks like he belongs in the NBA. He just needs more development. It's hard to say what his upside will be. Since he's not really a slick, super quick or athletic PG. I'd prefer Murry who I think has more upside.

Morris worked out with the Knick's earlier today

I agree, he is a combo guard that still has plenty of potential in him to develop that could contribute right now
His penetration, DEF, size/length, strength/athleticism, speed/quickness, and having some experience with Dantoni/Nash should help him
Just feel we made a horrible deal with Pablo by using part of our MLE on, outbidding ourselves
Now, we can afford to only use 2 roster spots at best, assuming Chris Smith is not part of the deal to keep JR

Honestly, I would be happy with anyone here, while Morris and Murry are both combo guards that could play both PG/SG positions
Their DEFENSE is what I like most about both of them with the ability to defend 2 positions and sufficient enough to run an offense
Their handle is good and have the ability to push the tempo, something we lacked last year

I like Bobby Brown as a change of pace PG with the ability to penetrate/score/shoot the wide open 3, a poor man's Bayless/Baron Davis

I guess out of the list, I would want a 2 year team option, although I would have rather used the MLE to get a 3year team option

I was really high on Morris coming out of Michigan. I don't think the Lakers situation was a good fit. He's a good passer, power point guard type and the Lakers tried to make him into a Steve Kerr type. Dude could pass and had decent potential as defensive player coming out of college. I would definitely bring him in as a third point guard.

I wasn't aware the Darius Morris worked out with the Knicks today - you sure?

Plus isn't he restricted - meaning we can't sign and trade for him.

Andrew Goudelock was also allowed to become a free agent. I haven't followed the summer leagues that closely but saw that he is averaging over 20 a game for the Bulls.

Goudelock was the mvp of the dleague last year and is only 23. Not watching tape on the guy or anything. He just came up when I looked up Morris.

I'm familiar with him. Lakers should keep this guy. What's doing him is confidence and experience. With the knicks he has too much competition.

Yeah.. I posted about Darius Morris when the lakers released him. He's unrestricted.. played with Tim Bug jr. Michigan backcourt that lost to Duke in 2010???? I think.. worthy of a look.

I haven't seen much of him the past 2 years, but I remember there being buzz around Morris on this board prior to the Shump draft. I guess we got the right guy! (I was all for Selby as the pick, so not intented to put down anyone who was high on Morris)

Glad to see the front office is doing their due diligence in filling out the roster. I have a good feeling we'll be getting a decent prospect at our 3rd string PG.

I like Morris. He has some solid potential. Some moments I was impressed. Others he looked really slow, but I think he could take some of Pablo's minutes at the least.

Hiddadyi, played for Memphis and last year for Toronto and then Pheonix
He filled in very well at C, near the end of the season when JO was out with injuries
As a under rated mobile with length, legit 7footer, who can provide a shot blocking presence, very solid TEAM defender, average 1v1 defender, some rebounds, a couple of steals, and is comparable to a poor mans Gortat, without his offense game

As a vet min pickup and would get a team option on 2nd year
Tyler is a prospect and Jerome Jordan is more NBA ready than him without his potential but we need at least one more legit C that is 7 foot vs Bulls, Indiana, and Nets at the
vet min contract and he provides that as a 2nd/3rd string C

4 roster spots left assuming CJ Leslie makes the team
For all players, I wouls prefer a 2nd year team option unless it is someone that is talented and taking less money like Nate Robinson, Udrih, Byron Mullens *supposingly signing with LA Clippers*
Would fill out the roster with

2 PG, at least one being a combo guard like Morris/Murry capable of defendig 2 positions
Think Bobby Brown could this years Jeremy Lin, with his ability to penetrate and score

1 PF/C like Kmart, a player from Atlanta, or even Jack Cooley/Jamelle Hagins

1 legit C that is a big body that can contribute right away like Cole Alrich, Jerome Jordan, Haddadyi, not so sure about Jeremy Tyler altough i like his potential
I just feel he has much work to do but if he works hard he might be able to be that person in the late season just likw we developped Copeland last season

As for CJ Leslie, I am not so sure if I would rather have someone like James Johnson, Stephen Jackson, Austin Daye, Shawnee Williams, and even Raja Bell, and keep Leslie on our development league till next year as he will need time to fill out his body before he can contibute in the NBA

I am sorry but Jordan looked Terrible out there in both summer leagues. He looks in physical shape but doesn't look like a quality player. I do not see any energy or activity. I would choose Tyler over Jordan.
