Looking at how much we played better with Martin last year on the floor, it would be a decent trade proposal
However, with the "TOP 4 TEAMS" in the East besides Miami, having dominant 7footers, we don't even have a legit backup option like a Greg Steminsa to rely on
I would prefer Trever Booker or even Serephin than Vesley
If we do such a trade I think I would ask for a 2nd round pick or 2 and with the extra 2 roster spot used for the PF/C position, it would likely be gone for Kenyon Martin
Chandler's looks like he is in huge decline to me last year, maybe he never got a shot to train in the SUMMER, or the injuries, age, abuse on body from starting NBA out from HS as a C, and/or physical abilities are on decline
Unless he takes the time to train extensively this summer and through out the season with a work out program/personal training/ and conduct drills, I just don't see it happening
For a 3rd string C, I think Jerome Jordan is ready to contribute with all the work he put in to his body
While Jeremy Tyler is a development project will need more time, maybe 1 year of HARD TRAINING in the gym, to go with his "potential"
I really like Chris Johnson at PF/C , currently on the Timberwolves, but think they feel the same way about him and doubt he would be available for us
We do still have Ronnie Brewer's trade exemption to offer around the league, but no real asset's to go with him outside of Iman/Tim Hardway JR
Currently at PF/C they have projected
Love
Pekovic
Chris Johnson
Dante Cunningham
Gorui Dieng
FA C's currently still on the market
============================================
Dalembert/BJ Mullens *highly unlikely to begin with but even more without the rest of the MLE*
Greg Oden *risk/reward*, also unlikely without the rest of the MLE
Cole Aldrich *think he has good potential*
Hamed Haddadi *a very mobile/athletic 7footer and good defender*
Darko *I always liked Darko and think he was always under rated*
Earl Barron
Fesenko
Joel Przybilla/Petro/Diop
Tyler/Jordan on our SummerLeague
tried to leave out PF/C like Martin, Ivan Johnson, Anthony Tolliver
