I usually enjoy the Ice Man's take, but sometimes he gets so dramatic and acts like a cry-baby. he had a meltdown yesterday on Twitter, saying the Knicks were headed in the wrong direction because JR had surgery and they got Artest. what a loser.

for the money they paid, Artest was by far the best option. he has championship experience, a defensive pedigree, and for all his whacky statements and alleged "craziness" is a guy that pretty much all teammates absolutely love (kobe and pau were both devastated that he got amnestied).

also, regarding the JR injury, it is sort of silly to think the Knicks "didn't know" about this - JR apparently was dealing with knee issues all last year. he is 27 years old and has played over 74 games per season in his last 5 full seasons. i'm really not worried. he got about the going rate for players with his skill set (Redick & Korver are both shooters, Monta Ellis got slightly more), and the 4 year contract corresponds to his age 28-29-30-31 seasons, so we get the end of his prime at a pretty reasonable deal. whatever.

Frankie the Drama Queen is wrong - Artest was a great acquisition, and the JR injury is really no big deal. even if he misses regular season time, we can just throw Hardaway Junior into the fire and see what he's got.

The Knicks are all drama, all the time. even in the middle of July.

I saw what it did to TMS. He got very defensive about his picks. Kind of became "his girls" and could not process that some of the guys would pick rather buxom hispanic girl over a skinny snaggle toothed asian school girl.

Its really because of time issue. I spend too much time already.

I'll vote on a few picks and follow things but I try to spend less time here, not more.

Its all personal taste anyway. Its actually funny how some girls get thru. The supermodels vs. the vixens is always an interesting match. Is it the "Hottest" or the most beautiful?
