I think this rugged PF is exactly what the knicks need at 6-8 255...a tough minded rebounder with guts. Id offer him the 1.7mil, what do you think?
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

I liked him 2 years ago, even last season, and wanted him as a vet min acquisition
I think he is quite under rated

Tyson Chandler never teamed up with another mobile REB/DEF/SHOT BLOCKING PF with great defensive G/F's like Pacer's have
However, watching Tyson Chandler last season, I think he is going to be in huge decline, and it started last season already
He was great his 1st year here though

Not sure about the rest of the rest mini MLE though, I would give him a 2 year deal at vet min with partial guaranteed money though
Part of me still hoping Nate or Udrih would accept it

At PF/C I guess I prefer, I like what he brought to the team last season and think he can still give us another 2 years at that level

Kmart
Jeffries *yes I still believe in fishlips* although I don't think he would be very good in a SPREAD OUT/NO PLAYER MOVEMENT/ type offense

But that is something Woodson or/and management must do something about

For the rest of the 1.7 MLE, I am praying one of the players below would take it
With player option for 3rd year

Nate
Udrih??

Dalembert
Byron Mullens

I hope we do not use it on MWP, would much rather wait for someone like
Hope coming home back to NYK would be enough, we all know he at least wanted to play as a Knick, at least during one point of his career
Would give him a 2 year vet min deal with player option on 2nd though

A line up of Ivan Johnson and MWP would scare opposing teams, which is appealing. I don't think we were intimidating enough last seasons. I hate opposing players coming into games against us, feeling like they can have a career game.

hell yea, this is related to the grunt filthy guy idea, we need that ugly man in the paint to make things ugly for anyone that wants to make it pretty with their dainty moves,

you're not beating the heat because you can't add big pieces, but you can make noise and give yourself a puncher's chance if you sign grunt filthy guys, that's the value approach here

I like Ivan Johnson. Reminds me of a '90s Knick. Brute force, no BS, kind of scary.

If we can land Ron, Ivan, and KMart I would be ecstatic we would have crazy covered.

A shame Sheed and KT have retired! Would have loved to have added them to the mix too!

He is not just a bully too cuz the guy is a good passer. I think it might have been the last game of the year when we played them....he threw an alley oop to a teammate in the paint. He has dribble drive skills too. He can hit the mid range jumper as well. He has a basic skill set. He's undersized but he's a strong leaper.

Jason Maxiel would be decent too. He fits the same mold. Decent shot blocker too but he's screwed being only 6'6"
