Collision just signed for part of the Clippers MLE. Begs the question, what are the Knicks doing? I would've preferred him to Prigioni, who is ten years his senior.

The Knicks are practicing what they preach continuity. In what maybe ineptness.

I remember reading that Grunwald was a big fan of Prigs for a long time and checked in on him annually hoping that he could bring him over. I think he really values him as a player. When he started the KNicks went on a 13 game win streak. Six games longer then Linsanity. He was 16-2 as a starter.

Wait till people start trying to justify signing Prigs over Collison.

Good move for Collison. His career hasn't really been the same after he stopped being Paul's backup. I hoped the Knicks reached out to him. He would've been a nicee complement to Felton.

Not everyone dreams of playing for the Knicks, you know. He's backed up CP3 before, plus a lot of people like LA. A shame though, as he was the PG I hoped we'd sign. Guess it just leaves Telfair.

I really like the moves the Clips have made this offseason

IDK about that. He hasn't even had a big NBA pay day yet. You really think he took a discount?

Aaron Brooks is still available I think. They're very similar too. He could possibly be had for cheap. His worth is worse than Collison, that's for sure.

Exactly. Maybe Collison didnt wanna be here...

+10000000000000. Then + another 10000000000000000.

The Clippers gave Collison a 2-yr deal (player option in the 2nd year) where next year's salary = $1.9m. Now Smackeddog may be right -- maybe Collison didn't want to play for NY. Maybe he does want to go team up with CP3 again, go to LA--a very desirable location... Who knows...All I know is I talked about Collison a good 10-15 times on this board as soon as Dallas cut him loose.. He was my 2nd choice for PG/co-PG with Felton, right behind Bledsoe. It doesn't even look like we were even interested in this guy, or any of these decent PG that are available for that matter.

All I wanted to read at one point the last week or so was "Knicks interested in Darren Collision, preparing an offer." Never heard that - not a peep - which implies they just felt Prigioni was the better option and they're covered now when they brought PP back. I couldn't disagree with that more. With respect to PP, he's 3rd PG on a team material. Quality 3rd PG material, but 3rd PG material nonetheless...This guy is not what we need taking over for Felton indefinitely in an emergency. Case closed...I don't think he can handle that. We need more at this position!!! Now to hear Collison signed a deal right in our price range (knowing full well he was available SEVERAL DAYS BEFORE they signed PP) makes this all the more irritating. This dude was exactly what we needed -- a young, talented uptempo PG to pair with Felton. A guy fully capable of taking the reins over from Felton if need be and running the team. He might have been better than Felton in the long run anyway..

I agree with Nard here 100% -- WTF are they doing?? Could've gotten a good PG in this draft and passed...Could've gotten involved in this trade for Eric Bledsoe and passed...Now could've gotten arguably the best PG in FA in our price range (turns out Collison was affordable after all) and passed again. All I want to hear is that we have interest in the right players. That's all. Even if any of our overtures get rejected -- THAT'S OK -- just show us you're interested in the right players dammit! Also, I hope they didn't pass this up because they're waiting on Elton Brand...You don't pass up Darren Collison, with our need for a 2nd quick/talented PG, because you're waiting on Elton Brand to make a decision. Case closed on that. That's ludicrous...There's plenty of backup big men out there we can get to play 15-20 mins a night. I'd prefer to see them target a young big or 2 here anyway... I really have to question Glen's priorities a little -- doesn't even look like he's interested in any of these PGs out there. It appears they're not and that makes this lost opportunity all the more frustrating.

Earth to Glen Grunwald -- Felton and Pablo Prigioni IS NOT NEARLY ENOUGH!! Arguably the most important position on the floor -- WE NEED MORE HERE. WAKE THE F UP!!!!

I had Isaiah Canaan ahead of Wolters myself--both were available at 24 and would've been good picks there. Then there's Pierre Jackson who I think the world of, even at 5'10". All three of these guys have a lot of promise. I know Jackson would've been a little bit of a reach at 24 but he would've been a 2nd round target for me for sure...I mean Glen said he wanted to buy into the 2nd round somehow--I guess I gotta believe him, but did he really try hard enough?

PG's want to dribble up and create with picks and player movement, NOT DUMP OFF to one player and get scrutinized for lack of ASSIST by analyst after games
Had we never signed Prigs, I believe there would be more PG's interested in the job because we like to play 2 PG's and backing up or beating out Felton is a possibility
But with Prig's signing, he takes up part of the mini MLE and it would almost guarantee that he gets a good amount of minutes and it isn't as a 3rd string either

I don't think anyone would over Prigs anything more than a vet min contract and as a 3rd string PG
Many teams will have 3 PG's better than ours in the entire league
Maybe Iman will get some minutes at it, hopefully it will work with his worth ethic

There were plenty of players in the 2nd round and not drafted

I honestly think my proposed deal with Portland with a large trade exemption, picks 39,40,45, and draft rights back to PAP is actually too high of an asking price
Many feel it was too low of a price, but I just see Chandler in huge decline from what I saw from him all year
He simply is not the same player the year earlier, he had some 20 rebound games
But is tapping out a rebound, without possession, really a rebound?

He didn't have any money. He had ideas but others were not giving him picks for them. Not sure if they were future second rounders or what.
