Woody: JR I love you like a son, you made me look good last reg season when you pulled up your pants and didn't hit the clubs and get wasted for a good stretch of the season.
JR: Coach everybody here at this table know I have a drinking issue and like giving girls da pipe after late night flights. OH Excuse me mom.
Woody: yea I was young once I know how it can be in NYC after dark being a professional ball player. Matter fact a lot of your critics couldn't handle what those women have been throwing at you.
Dad: Well you know I use to be a lil terror back in the day right baby ha ha ha.
Mom: Yea that's how you got me to marry you.... he he.
Woody: All I'm asking you to do JR is come off the bench with Barganni and Prigioni and play the right way.
JR: Well I told you coach I think I should be starting.
Woody: maybe you could if you would settle down in your private life and be more professional.
Mom: JR, son it 's time out for the pipe business at all hours of the morning, you have to get your rest baby.
Jr : yea ma I know, but I have them calling my name you know what that does for my ego ?
Woody: JR this dinner meeting is about basketball, come on son lets talk hoops.
Dad: I know JR , they don't know what it's like to be 27 and packing heat and all these social networks giving you all the play you can handle.
Woody: JR we need you to respect the Uniform by being more professional after we give you the new contract, can you promise us things will be different this upcoming season.
JR: Well one thing for certain coach I love playing in NY, I love the fans , but a brother has to get paid this time around I'm 27 yrs old.
Woody : Well then you need to act like a mature 27 yr old and come up to another level, Isiah and Dolan love your play and your lifestyle off the court, but they aren't the ones coaching you. I knew players back in my day who use to ball crazy, ran the women , but the got their rest and didn't come hung over in big games.
JR: Coach They didn't make ladies and clubs like they do today, I bet you guys when you all were single couldn't handle NY today.
Woody: well that's why I got married I had to make a decision and I'm asking you to make one tonight. Can I get you to go an entire yr by behaving and being ready to play ball when we have a game ?
Dad: JR, boy listen to the man he's talking to you like a man, stop fooling around and get serious we need you to do the right thing. We trying to get your brother a shot on the team as the 15th man.
Mom: JR, you know I taught you always to look out for you lil brother.
JR: Coach Woodson I want to retire a NY KNICK, if I come correct and don't hang out all the time and get twisted and play more professional with no deviant acts do you think this is possible.
Woody: JR if you go check into an AA type facility in the off season for athletes , it could prepare you for the upcoming season .
JR: I'll think about it, but I want to get paid, I'm not getting any younger, I stayed healthy all yr.
Woody: ok I will check into a few places and call my friend John Lucas in Houston. Ok y'all have a good night and JR, you know I treated you like a son, no other coach in the ASSOCIATION is gonna do that for you.
