As per Alex Kennedy, the Knicks have been reaching out to Telfair.

REALLY???

If thats "being creative", I would rather they just be sensible.

Guilty by association. he just brings back bad memories of Marbury. I feel bad for him, but I would pass.

You could do a lot worse for a third point guard. I'd bring him in.

Telflair is not crazy like his cousin. Totally different tore of player also. Dude is on par with any back up point guard in the league. He has matured since his younger days and believe it or not, dude still has some upside.

Face it....the knicks are broke unless they trade Chandler to try and get talent, the knicks are stuck trying to each out to guys to take less. Vet minimum us what Telflair is and he's a good value at that rate.

Telflair wants to write a guys end to his story and he knows what it would be to do it in ny,. Legacy.....

If we are left with this guy i day let's welcome him.

Playing in his hometown could inspire Telfair to play the best ball he can, or the distractions of playing in NY could have the opposite effect. Hard to say for sure what would happen. We need another PG in the worst way IMO so I wouldn't mind them at least giving him a workout.

Felton broke down last year. Cant hurt having depth. I prefer we keep our starters fresh.

If not Telfair, who out there would be an upgrade, is young but with experience, and can be signed for the minimum?

I'd rather go with Bobby Brown, Brooks, or even Robinson.

Aaron Brooks. Really think about this guy and what he can do before dismissing him...When this guy's right, he's one hell of a penetrator, capable of taking ANY PG in this league off the dribble at will and he can really fill it up from deep. Real potent offensive player. And while he ain't Magic Johnson, I think there more than enough PG skills here to keep his fellow teammates happy and well feed...Talking about a guy that can go for 20 ppg in a season (only a couple of seasons removed from that kind of of production in Houston); 35 points on any given night. It's debatable whether or not he's a better player than Felton -- but what he would be is one hell of a sidekick...This dude would come in with the 2nd unit ready to dominate another team's 2nd string PG. If we can afford him on the limited amount we have left to spend (like I indicated on another thread, I have no idea what his price is -- vet minimum? $3m? No idea..), I don't think we could do much better considering the firepower he'd bring.

Why not make a run at Devin Harris? or At least try to run at D-Collison.. Knicks need a defender @ pg.. I like both from that perspective.

I agree -- one of these 3: Collison, Brooks or Harris (I have them in that order), would be great. I feel like we have enough money left to make a serious run at one of these guys...Each guy fulfills the need for a quicker/uptempo DANGEROUS PG to pair with Felton (where Pablo's relegated to 3rd PG on the depth chart where he belongs -- when Felton needs a blow or God forbid gets hurt like he did last year, I want another guy in there that will maintain the same level of speed and penetration. Can you imagine if Ray goes out and Pablo has to play 35-40 mins/night trying to hold the fort down? Forget it..it would burn that poor dude right out like it did to J-Kidd!! Plus we automatically go into games at a severe disadvantage where Prigioni lacks that all-important dimension). Collison may be out of our price range -- but FIND OUT!! Reach out to the man. If not, turn to Aaron Brooks -- offer the most possible and guarantee him 20-25 mins backing up/playing with Felton...and sell the team as a good team that has a shot to win it all (Collison get the same pitch before I talk to Brooks)...Harris would be good too but he's just coming off big money and he's still in pretty much his prime (may not be ready to transition over to vet minimum money yet) and besides, I think he's lost a little since peaking with the Nets...Another guy though -- CALL UP AND FIND OUT!!!

ACT NOW before these guys go off the board and we have to settle on a guy like Tony Taylor Jr.

Im a big fan of devin harris!!
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Brooks hasn't been the same since he got back from China, but I was surprised that Houston cut him- they had him on a very low deal and I thought he could replace Lin if they chose to trade him. Makes me wonder if they thought he was done.

Way too young to be done...He's in his prime. They're clearing out as much cap room as they can to offer D-12 the max...That's all that's about. Cuban cutting Collison -- same deal. Supposedly Dwight's may make a decision this weekend sometime (per hoopshype)...Anyway, with both Collison & Brooks available, we should be looking to sign either guy. Collison 1a, Brooks 1b, Harris 2...Then I don't know -- the Bynums, the Telfairs, maybe DJ Augustin, Roddy Beaubois (always hurt but he's talented, maybe we take a chance).. Then if we can't even get one of these 2nd tier guys, I guess we have no choice but to look at the Tony Taylors, etc. (from this 3rd tier, I'd like to see Michael Loyd Jr or Curtis Jerrells myself).. Whoever this PG is going to be, he's got to be of the quick/uptempo/penetrating variety. Also, a bonus would be a guy that can put the ball in the hole fairly consistently AND a guy that can take over for a long stretch should Felton ever go down with injury -- I don't think Pablo would thrive if called upon to be the main guy. That's too much responsibility to put of the 35-36 yr old Prigioni.

Man if it's us, we could've done better I feel.. Brooks and Collison aren't even signed yet. SMH..

And I just looked at his twitter account -- all he says is 'I'm headed home!!!' You never know with these guys and this friggin' twitter -- could mean he's headed home to take a shower.
