for 1.4mm

On a efficiency basis, Blatche performed much better last year than most big men in the nBA. The Nets are paying him nothing.

The Nets frontline is

Brook Lopez
Kevin Garnett
Andray Blatche
Miles Plumlee
Reggie Evans

Good re-signing. They pounced on him quickly. I though there was a chance he might leave because of the Boston trade.

Who the F is his agent he should fire him ASAP. Something very unamerican when someone leaves money on the table.

With Bargnani locked up, I think the only thing left to do now for the frontcourt is add another power big or 2 on the cheap for depth:

Jerome Jordan
Marcus Cousin
Jordan Williams

Jamelle Hagins
Trevor Mbakwe
Jackie Carlmichael

Just talking to my buddy about Mbakwe and he really likes him. He's right on this guy -- strong, tough kid who's good in the post, athletic, solid rebounder, can block a shot, plays above the rim. I like him too. Have no idea who we're going to get to finalize out SL roster. I have a feeling it's gonna be the same old rockbottom talent they always seem to add late. If there was anyone promising, we would've heard already..Probably the same typical fodder...But no matter -- we need to monitor all the players participating in both leagues very closely (Orlando & Vegas) regardless of who they're playing for. If there are players out there who perform well in SL that could help us, we need to come strong right away with legit offers.

Now that makes the bench fairly decent for the frontcourt. The Nets are having themselves a vey good offseason

I think we are gonna be the 5th seed next year. The Pacers and bulls were better than us this year and they were missing their top players, the nets have gotten much better at least for next year and miami is miami

They certainly can withstand injury.

He is still receiving a boat load of cash from the Wizards. Also, the Nets can get his early bird rights now and offer him more when his contract is up. They have no flexibility so if he wants to stay there those rights are important.

Gotta admit the Nets are having a very good summer. This was great for the team.
