Tony Allen drawing interest from Grizzlies, Pacers, Bucks, Knicks
As the Memphis Grizzlies plan to make a pitch to free agent Tony Allen on Monday, the Indiana Pacers, Milwaukee Bucks and New York Knicks are part of a growing cast of suitors pushing to sign the All-Defensive guard, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Allen, 31, a popular franchise player and integral part of the team's rise to prominence in the Western Conference, has been inclined to remain with Memphis for the right offer, sources told Yahoo! Sports.
Indiana wants to upgrade its bench and bring more toughness and playoff experience to its roster. The Pacers will focus first on the re-signing of free-agent forward David West. Indiana could potentially have its midlevel exception of $5 million available for Allen.
The Bucks have salary-cap space and are juggling multiple scenarios in free agency.
New York can offer its mini midlevel of $3 million and try to convince Allen that he can make up the difference in larger offers through marketing in the New York area.

I love this. Not sure on how the CBA works with sign and trades and I know multiple people have said we cannot do sign and trades, but if someway we can get to the level where can. I would do a sign and trade, copeland for Allen.

Grizzlies badly need a 3 point shooter. We get a tough perimeter defender and just thinking about a shumpert allen backcourt is exciting.

Also, Woj is normally accurate with his sources unlike other beat writers so that's a plus to those who think a random beat writer is making up things.

Tony Allen and SHUMP on the floor at the same time, that would be AWESOME. Not sure how that gets done or if its even possible but, Tony Allen is a hell of a defender. I put him in a tier just above shump and the guy is effective on the floor. Cuts well, can finish at the rim....would be a very valuable pick up.
the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

If we got Tony Allen and keep Shump out of any trades then I think the Knicks would also prefer not to trade Tyson. A lot of excuses were made for him regarding our perimeter D making him look really bad last year. I don't buy that, but if you've got Shump and Allen doing a good job on the perimeter and Tyson putting together a good year, we could have a real good balance on the roster.

Guys have been hard on Tyson but, he had the injury bug on and off all season long and some of them like the kneck injury were pretty bad. I hope and expect him to bounce back. That cast of players would be dangerous defensively. It anything it would probably inspire Tyson.
