Dolan likely pitched a fit so Cuz Zeke got him a starphuch.

"Weird Science": Take KVH and Gallo and stick them into a blender and you have Barg's!

League needs to cancel this as they have the Draft in NYC and between Brooklyn and Knicks no one got any pics left!

(I know, can't trade consecutive picks!)

Good thing Ted Septian lived, otherwise Isiah would have them traded!

I like how fans can be so comforted by having cap space in two years. We can build around JR then!

This does remind me of isiah/dolan. I remember the marbury deal(which i hated). Not only did we take on marbury's bloated contract but we also took penny(who teh suns felt they were never gonna move). The Eddy Curry trade still gives me nightmares. Forget his heart defect I knew he ate like a cow and he would probably be over 300lbs within a year. So we basicall gave up a ton of picks one of which turned out to be Joakim Noah is is one of the best bigmen in the game

It crossed my mind but Isiah seemed to not be a fan of the trade on NBA TV. He might be a good actor but these types of players have never been a "thing" for him. On a side, I think it is insulting to mention Bargnani in the same sentence as either Gallo or KVH. I was a fan of neither of the later but recognized that they were more than one-trick ponies and had made a notable impact in helping to win games. Meanwhhile, Bargnani has been nothing more than a good jump shooter and little else

Isiah on NBATV and said he don't like it?

Then perhaps he will when we add more assets to it!

Black flag op's with the prototypical Isiah symptoms all over it!

Former lotto pick with injury history, overpaid, and under achieved!

One can almost Dolan ranting thru the castle demanding an explanation in response to the Celtic/nets trade: "How did this happen" and "Bring me the one they call isiah and bring me a name!!!!!"

Thank god we cant trade consecutive picks or we would never make a pick in the draft. They should name that rule after the Knicks.

3 picks?

1- Would Toronto not accept the deal for 1 1st round pick and giving us back a 2nd round pick?

2- Copeland already showed he could have played in NYK when given the opportunity but Woodson DOES NOT PLAY HIM for the same reason I don't think Bargs will play

3- Ryan Kelly (late 2nd round pick), BJ Mullens (UFA), and or Copeland could outplay Bargs at a much lower rate without giving up assets, also wonder if there was even interest in the league from other teams for DPOY in Chandler

4- What do you do if Melo opts out and demands MAX money starting at over 20m per season next summer or leaves for NOTHING?

5- Our greatest need is to add 2 quality PG's, now that we payed the price with assets and contracts that could land us a decent PG, how do we fill the position we need MOST?
We need penetration/facilitating and a PG that could STAY IN FRONT OF PG's MOST

6- For the picks we gave up, we can possibly even trade Amare for a shorter bad contract, possibly even add 3 quality players like Brandon Rush, PG's in Twolves like Ridnour (at least Barea), and another solid player
This is just a HORRIBLE move financially as we had much cheaper options and players we could have targeted with the assets we used

They are trying to keep Melo.

Grunwald is doing what he said he would.

Adding to the core. If we bring everyone back we are a better team plain and simple.

Anubis, your reply does not justify any of the above, there simply is no market for Barg's and there was a good chance that he would even get amnestied and he we could sign him with a vet min contract, instead we pay top value for him

I was wondering why I felt bad about this trade. Now I know. Dolan/Isiah got involved.
When I first read the trade I thought Toronto was giving us the picks and even then I was questioning the trade.

I'm not sure how anyone can justify this deal as being close to reasonable. At the top of our needs was low usage, high efficiency, high rebounding players... Barg is pretty much the exact opposite of this.

Who is going to rebound all the misses from Melo and JR's iso plays? It ain't gonna be Bargs I'll tell you that.

Rose is not the answer.

What does Ujsuri have on us in trades?

Camby and Novak are top value? Come on man.

Yea it sucks trading the pick but we got a serviceable player for 2 useless players.

At very least we got a rotational big which allows us more flexibility with the MMLE.

The trade is two guys who gave the team nothing in the playoffs and very little during the regular season, for a 27 year old, 7 footer, that can shoot!

The trade is no brainer.

Chandler
bargs
Melo
Shump
Felton

Bench:
Stat
JR
Prigs
Timmy Jr.

Offense all over the place, D with Shump and TC. Still need an enforcer off the bench ala KMART.

Trade only fails if the pick gets is unprotected and is lotto pick.

Camby gets to retrace his career. Weird.

Novak is a roll player whom Bargs fills very nicely.

you guys need to work WITH the drugs. Don't fight it, it will only make you feel worse. Ride it out and eventually/hopefully sanity will return.

Did they trade this years pick and 2future 2nd rounders. If so, I got no beef. No one had Timmy JR making a difference and Dolan has shown that he will buy 2nd rounders no problem so, this is not really an Isiah type move after all. Isiah would have traded numerous unprotected 1st round pick while making moves that were sure to make us a lottory team. Not even close to an Isiah move because it doesn't in itself hurt the franchise for years to come.
