Sounds like the Rockets may have to waive Brooks and DelFino if they can't find a trade partner. Brooks only makes 2 mil. Not sure if the knicks have enough expirings/team option guys to take on his salary. Maybe Morey throws in a second round pick or two to get him off their cap.

He is a player we should look strongly at signing.

I like him a lot. Real nice player at Louisville. Strong, great defender, great rebounder, good ballhandler, potent one-on-one skills. Too good a player not to be part of a rotation somewhere. He just needs a chance.

We need to continue the youth movement and up the talent level at every position. Just my 2 cents once again:

PG
Patty Mills - If we're aggressive/act now and offer $2-2.5m of the tax payers MLE and guaranteed him 20-25 mins a night, we could pry him away from SA.
Michael Loyd Jr.
Curtis Jerrells

SG
Terrance Williams - Good call. I like him too.
Jermaine Taylor - Could be our very own Marcus Thornton.
Chris Douglas-Roberts - Crafty scorer deluxe.
Jamelle Horne - Athletic role player that can score and defend.
Gerardo Suero - Slasher that can get to the line a ton and shoot. Poor man's Latrell Sprewell?
Dominique Jones
Invite undrafted 6'4" Tyler Brown to SL (Illinois St.).
Invite undrafted 6'5" Dwayne Davis to SL (Southern Miss.).

SF
Craig Brackins

PF
Jordan Williams
JaJuan Johnson
Jamelle Hagins - Undrafted, playing for the Nets in Orlando SL and the Heat in Vegas SL. I'd offer him a contract right now.
Brandon Davies - Undrafted, playing for the Clippers' SL team. Keep an eye on these guys.

Center
Marcus Cousin
Jerome Jordan - I'll take him but Cousin's the better talent.

Why? Dude posesses a very high skill level. Very fast/quick with the ball, he can facilitate/distribute and he's a damn good offensive player. He's excelled EVERYWHERE he's ever been and gotten PT. Great option for us if you ask me. He's worth the money.

Disagree man. He's 6' which is sufficient (there are smaller guys out there) and his talent level is high. He'd be a steal even for a good portion of this mini MLE.

He's listed at 6' , I could've sworn he's much smaller. but if he comes cheap...vet min...he's worth a look

Well he has a player option to return to SA for $1,133,950. Couldn't offer him the vet minimum -- with his time on, it would work out to be less than his player option I believe. We'd have to dip into the mini MLE. I think he's worth $2-2.5m myself, maybe even a little more. Look at him next to Charles Jenkins -- Jenkins is listed at 6'3" -- Mills doesn't look that much smaller side by side. He's got enough size.

Just read that as of Jun 24, Mills exercised his player option to return to the Spurs for the 2013-14 season. See, we waited on this/showed no interest and now the opportunity's gone....Maybe not though -- I'd call up SA and see if we could get him in a small trade -- for cash (when out ability to use cash in a trade resets), the Ronnie Brewer trade exception, maybe a future 2nd rounder, etc. For a player Pop won't even play, maybe they agree to a small money deal like that. I'm surprised Mills picked up his option so quickly like that...FA didn't even begin yet -- with the player option to return in the bag and on the back burner, wouldn't you want your agent to be diligent & shop your name around a little bit to try and drum up some interest in you? Man, I would...Weird. I feel Patty jumped the gun here a little.
