The Sacramento Kings have officially tendered a qualifying offer to Tyreke Evans, which makes him a restricted free agent beginning on July 1. The Kings now have the ability to match any offer sheet he may sign with another team.

The Kings did not mention Toney Douglas or James Johnson in the press release, which likely means they won't receive qualifying offers. If this holds true they will be unrestricted free agents this summer. A qualifying offer is at least a one-year guaranteed contract and the Kings likely didn't want to offer that to Douglas ($3.1M) and Johnson ($3.9M).

The Kings can still re-sign both players, but they probably won't return next season.

James Johnson is the cheap talent we need to be looking to get.

Absolutely. We need to throw our full MLE at him immediately.

would hope we can do a 2 year deal with James Johnson so we can KEEP talent instead of watching them bail on us if they do well

If there is a team that is willing to take Chandler of our hands, while giving us a large exemption, and while giving us some decent 2nd round picks, I would be very happy with it
Especially with a team like Portland who has 3 2nd round picks and draft rights for Pap
There is much more holes we can fill with and we need a CORE since Amare is broken, Melo is not a 2way player, Chandler is breaking down and losing heart, and well we have no real foundation

Only reason I like him is because he is a tweener and we can play him at PF for short bursts.

I dont see our small ball lineups going anywhere anytime soon.

I don't see what it is so great about Johnson. He doesn't rebound that well or score efficiently.

One very underrated FA i feel will be easily attainable is Dorrell Wright. He's a 3 and D type of player. A big SF who can hit open 3s and defend pretty well. He's also a good rebounder. Could be a replacement for Copeland if we lose him. He averaged 16 ppg just a couple years ago.

Johnson shot .095% from 3 point range last year. He should be the perfect replacement for Kidd.

I can't hate on Charlie Ward. He was the best quarterback in NY for awhile in the 90s, and he never even played in the NFL. He got flipped by near 7 footer PJ Brown and still went back at him. Also, he has God on his side!

I'd bring TD back for the right money. Kid got grit and in the right role he can play a bit.

TD and Billups would both be great fits in Miami with their ability to shoot and they don't need to worry about facilitating with Lebron/Wade and the shooters needed to spread the floor

lol Johnson beat us this year with that crap 3....yeah he's in the fold but he'd be low on my list of who I want. No need to be in a rush to sign anyone there will be of ton of players available.

They key for us is to find them at the right price...

with all the iso ball we played with Melo, I think TD could be a great fit - I always thought he gave effort and was tough.

Vet minimum.

And with our roster, we might be lucky to be able to get someone like TD.

Hey Charlies my cuz so, lay off him And please take Douglas out of the title (I had managed to forget he even existed and then you have to subject me to this )

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

I'm a free agent as well if we're looking for that level of talent.

I think they are looking for Ball Players, not single men

^^^i burst out with laughter when i saw this statement...LOL

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better
