if you get pekovic, you're in the conference finals this year,

he can't be that expensive,

tyson for pekovic straight up

We can't. Pekovic is a free agent so we'd have to sign-and-trade for him but we're too far over the luxury tax and can't receive players in sign-and-trades.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

We cant do anything with this roster until 2015 offseason. Last year was the last time we could make any moves and we blew it.All we can do now is add vet min players and draft picks thats it. So unless the Knicks fall into an All Star at #24 "Not impossible but highly improbable especially right away" the East semifinals are as good as this team can be

Don't make our immediate future look so grim, we did ok this yr, and the playoffs is not all talent and depth, it involves a bit of LUCK and every coach in every sport will tell you that..

deceptive regular season success this year, this is a sub 50 win team even this season, but they got very hot and rode the horse to the pony show,

their essence is below 50, but sometimes there will be some things that will stick on the wall and the true face of the beast is shown when it is difficult going

The team was different and showed a lot of heart through adversity. We need Tyson to come back w a move or two. We need two good players from the draft. One a ph one a big. And we can get perimeter help from top d leaguers or foreign players who's games have matured. A healthy Shumpert Weill give them a second offensive cog

^^i agree 1000%

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

You are what your record is. We would have been no match for Miami as the record did show. We were competitive with the Pacers despite a greatly diminished Tyson due to in season injury and illness and a puzzling ineffective showing by JR. If we were as bad as you say, we should have had a close series in Boston(possibly losing) and gotten swept by the Pacers.

To me Pekovic is an amazing low post guy and at this point of their careers I would prefer him to Tyson!
I highly doubt though that Minnisota would give him away...

The Knicks played about as well as they could of this season. Next year though the Pacers will be better , so will the Bulls. Im sorry but I cant say the same about the Knicks. This roster has no flexibility and players leaving their prime. Meanwhile the Pacers have 2 emerging stars that are 26 and 23 plus a huge trade chip in Grainger.I hate to be a downer but I just dont see how this team can get better then the HEAT,Pacers or Bulls. The answers I get is Chandler comes back with an offensive game.Carmelo and JR become less unselfish. These guys are 30 years old they arent redefining their games into better players now.

And we can also draft the ROY at 24!

We can also draft a complete bust - but I guess you were being sarcastic? But it's safe to assume whatever rookie we draft won't see in playing time under our "coach".
Our window got closed last year. Now we will repeat last year and there will be the usual chest thumping during the regular season and then we will lose in the playoffs again.

Um what happened this year hadn't happened in 13 years. Also, Woodson had a team that was competing for something. Most coaches in that situation are somewhat reluctant to play rooks. Most don't play undrafted rookie minimum guys at all let alone get blasted for it. Imagine having a team competing for nothing, only winning 23 games, and not playing the rooks because you are trying to make the playoffs. That is an 'again' I never want to revisit.

Even if we traded Tyson we would still be way over the cap and the most we could offer him is the $5M MLE.

I think you are underestimating the importance of Jason Kidd. Without Jason Kidd I think this is barely a 40 win team.

Rose is not the answer.
