Knicks Basketball: Kidd to the Nets. Tampering Anyone?
PLAYERS: Jason Kidd, James Dolan
TEAMS: Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks
I might come off to some of you as a disgruntled Knicks fan, but if you read into what I am saying I think you will understand that my point is valid. Jason Kidd and the Knicks season ended with great disappointment. NY lost in the 2nd round, being outplayed and overmatched in every way. Jason Kidd looked liked a player that had lost his skills and just could not “bring it” every night like he once did. Locked into 2 more years remaining on his deal, most thought he would take the summer and comeback for at least one more year. Remember, he had 2 years – 6 million remaining on a guaranteed deal. No player, I repeat, No player gives up that kind of money no matter the circumstances, especially since J-Kidd had some productive moments during the season. Jason did not take the summer and contemplate, or even take a month off and figure things out. He at first said he would most likely be back, and then abruptly took a 180-degree turn and announced his retirement to the surprise of ever...

What do you think Happened?

just file the tampering charges already.

We must stop being used. Next season I'm willing to give the Knicks a pass. Because I think we will be in the development new players stage. But when Amear is off the books of we find a way to trade him we need to forget about what the Nets are doing. Thats what got us in this mess by over paying Stat.We should have signed him for 3 years guaranteed and the next 2 half or no guarantee at all.

We usually don't agree, but no dispute here, other than the Lin part.

Dude absolutely mailed it in, he not only took 3 mil he took away a yearly mle contract which could be used on a player who'd actually give 3 years.

well that is why I mentioned lin, we are now left very thin in the back court.. kidd didn't do the knicks any favors, which is why I was confused with the 3 years he was given.. I never expected him to play until age 42

can you please tell me what new players we will be developing?

There are some decent international players who could be available when we pick. Hopefully, we're not looking at our pick as someone who has to contribute next year but whoever can help us the most for the next 10 years.
