there are indications that Stoudemire could make an impact if the Knicks spaced him out to 22 feet or so, which is the distance to the three-point stripe in the corners.

Stoudemire shot an impressive 54.1% (145-of-268) on two-pointers from 20 feet or further over the past six seasons, according to Stats LLC—easily the best mark in the league over that span. In fact, no other player has shot even 50% from that range over the same period.

That's why I think him going to Hakeem is useless, he is a lights out midrange shooter. Besides his knees aren't built for a Hakeem shake or spin.

Would have been very useful to pull Hibbert away from the basket.

He was very shaky this year in the mid-range game- far from lights out. In terms of his career, yes he's a good 15 ft shooter, but his shooting has gotten significantly worse.

would of been great had he done it in his early 20's.

Don't know if that player still exists. What if we looked at the same stat over the last season or two?

because he was never on the floor long enough to develop any sort of rhythm. Being played like 4/5 minutes stints won't/can't give you any real indicator of what he could have be capable of. Like others said, the way Woody handled the restriction was BS.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

I think the only reason he got time on the floor was his contract. IN fact, if not for that Im sure we'd have figured a way to shed him. But, he is a player of signficant talent and if there is a hope he can return in some fashion you try.

Bringing a player along to get in shape in the second round of the playoffs is crazy. But reality is we were short handed up front. I don't put this on Woodson at all.

Wasn't his first bucket a 3 pt shot to end the 1st quarter? We were tripping on that!

I think its critical that Amare get that outside shot down for many reasons. One being his "Shake" will be more effective. If so, this spacing opens a lot of opportunities and most important this skill set could make him more compatable with FluTy and Mooby.

Sounds like a saturday morning cartoon show: "The Zany Adventures of FluTy and Mooby!"

Don't understand this short hand nonsense pacers played 7-9 players. It wasn't short hand roster that lost the Pacers series it was Chandler, Smith and Woody. They were the main culprits. To some degree Melo is there too. Melo was the best player and he played Woody's system to a tee.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Since Kidd is retiring how about sliding Amar'e at point guard and have him work out with him? If we're gonna ask him to change his game why not play backup point guard and play him no more then 15-20/gm?

stoudemire is one of the worst passers in the nba.
knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Thank you for pointing that out, he always get a pass because people think he's this great, high character guy, but he is essentially a black hole, even more than MElo.
