Former Miami point guard Shane Larkin won’t work out for the Knicks, his agent told SNY.tv.

“Currently, Shane’s not scheduled to work out for the Knicks,” agent Steve McCaskill told SNY.tv. “And we don’t have any intentions of scheduling one. We don’t feel like he’s going to be on the board when they select.”

The Knicks have the No. 24 pick in the June 27 NBA Draft and could be in the market for a young point guard to back up Raymond Felton and Jason Kidd, especially if Pablo Prigioni doesn’t return to the team.

The Knicks are expected to begin individual workouts next week.

McCaskill, who works with Happy Walters’ Rogue Sports, said he expects Larkin, son of baseball Hall of Famer Barry Larkin, to go somewhere in the 13-23 range. DraftExpess.com has him going No. 23 to the Indiana Pacers.

“He’s basically working out for everybody from 13-22, 23,” McCaskill said.

The 5-foot-11 Larkin recently worked out for the Boston Celtics — who pick at No. 16 — and was to work out for the Milwaukee Bucks — who pick at No. 15 — today (Friday).

I agree with larkin. I wish him well
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

I can not see him making it pass Utah and Pacers because they both could use a PG and he would be a cheap option for their futures

How much of this might be the result of the Knicks reputation for being unwilling to commit to young talent long term? After all, if he's working out for a team at 23rd, I can't understand why he wouldn't workout for a team at 24th.

The New York Pressure and a lot of players know how new york is. We can be career destroyers.

More like he has a promise from Indy that they're taking him if he's available when they pick.

Absolutely. The combination of the internal (the Knicks organization) and external (the city) environments are though to handle in that situation.

No rookie PG will be allowed to play for Woody or command respect as a pg general on the court by holding the ball playing with Melo. He will give in like PRIGS AND FELTON.

We need a well respected PG who will stand up against Iso ball

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Why work out for a team that will take him if available. Workout for teams to move up in the draft.

Probably got more to do with his agent than anything.

he's associated with happy walters, and amare isn't exactly happy either.

Woody calls the shots. I do not think however Melo now thinks scoring is more important than a championship and if he thinks that he will never win a ring. He already won top scorer so what else is there? The ring.
