What would the knicks chances be if Amare came back and gave us 88 games and the best playoff record of his career?

I wonder what would happen if Amare had a healthy season averaging over 20 points a game playing a little bit of center and at the 4 and is the best shape of his career. Could we go far in the playoffs with Shump getting a midrange jumper and Novak learning how to shoot off the dribble and go to the basket. I believe Novak is more that just a 3 point stand around shooter. But it goes back to Amare if he has a great season can we go deep in the playoffs

we would be great. but that will never happen...Amare has bad arthritic knees....no need thinking about it - thats his reality
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

he has to 4get about STAT's (no pun intended) and try to make whoever he guarding him WORK ON BOTH ENDS of the game, as much as he can

and

With about a 24min cap due to his knee issues (probably closer to 20 now), there really can't be more than a 9th/10th man role unless

He really must be able to not worry about STAT's and improve his DEF, more importantly choose a position to DEFEND at the best of his own abilities and work on it this summer
If he can give us a great energy boost on both sides, sometimes even more effort on DEF, and facilitating role on OFF if double team's ever start coming
It would be nice if he can ignite a fast break with a REB and sometimes even leak out for the fast chance break points and FINISH strong, something he once did when he was younger though he was more mobile, quicker, and had healthier knees'

His DEF is really so bad that I even wonder if the Goggles get in his way of his vision sometimes or if it clogs up with fog
He will never be a All Star again but he can still be a resourceful and important piece to the puzzle

i don't know if they fog up, and it would be really good if they had goggles that highlighted opposing players in red, and your teammates had a green glow, that way you can focus better and really lock them down,

i agree with RonRon...dude will never be the same...you can tell that he actually DOESNT KNOW how to play defense. He reminds me of those over aggressive football players who try to play basketball. All they do is foul you since they DONT know how to play. Amare might not have the knees any more but if he could LEARN how to play SMART defense, it would help. He has trouble with peripheral def, off ball defense and rebounding. Hes a liability on defense.

It would be awesome. Amare's health has been compromised in the past and he has always come back more intense but I think he is even more desperate now. If he had the ability to remain healthy and re-introduced his jump shot to go along with his post game it would be amazing. I really don't know if the Knicks win any or many more regular season games then this year but in the playoffs Amare is a much more reliable player then a JR even after his fire extinguisher incident. I think the playoff run would be where Amare's presence would be so valuable. A healthy Amare has the ability to wipe away the impact of Flu and JR folding. Maybe Amare gets some of Flu's minutes and it gives Flu sometime to be introspective about the horror show he put on in the playoffs.
I'm tired,I'm tired, I'm so tired right now......Kristaps Porzingis 1/3/18

amare CANT play more than 20mins a game on a consistent basis. therefore he CANT be relied on at all. Tyson on his WORST day is way better on defense than amare EVER EVER was.

like i said, amare is never going to be CLOSE to 25% of what he once was...dreaming of that is like wishing for CP3 to join this team

Not for nothing but if Amar'e can play 24 minutes next year and put in 14 and 5 like he did this year. That would be crazy good. I think he will improve and will have a healthy year next year.

What would happen if a magic unicorn came down from the sky and sprinkled fairy dust all over the Knicks?

chandler would have an allergic reaction during the playoffs. amare would have his knees healed and then cause both achilles tendons to blow out.

GO TEAM VENTURE!!!!!

If Amar'e were healthy and gave the Knick's a full season then I like this team against anyone assuming the other guys stayed healthy also.

if amare were healthy it would highlight the fact that he and carmelo could not co-exist.
knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

If the team was healthy and can guarantee it, I bet even Charles Barkley would buy into that!

Amare healthy would be a big boost but the position that really needs to perform is the PG spot. Without the 3 headed PG monster delivering next year then it is back to a 2nd round exit.
