Seems redundant with Shumpert and JR if he resigns, but if you're drafting best available player, do you pull the trigger?

After dismissal from Georgia Tech(was Iman Shumpert's teammate at one point), instead of transferring to another school got drafted late into the D league.

Went from benchwarmer to eventual NBDL Finals MVP.

Maybe the most NBA ready player in the draft. Good size, good athletism, a 2 way player in the true sense.

I would say he's good enough to be a roation player. Past that is hard to tell. Not like Landry Fields in the sense of his game, but talent and impact.

Im cutting some NBA draft videos any players that I should be looking at for the Knicks
Did 1 for McLemore and Noels so far. The Michigan players I was planning on doing have a bunch of their games

McLemore vs KSU

Noels vs Tenn
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdIyXUhBEOI

Am I the only 1 that thinks Noel could be a huge bust. I think its crazy he could go #1. A 206 pound PF/Center with little offensive game.U see the MD game he got destroyed by Alex Len.

I think there are enough really good backup PGs to draft one with the pick. Larkin, Canaan, or Wolters will be available, probably 2 out of the 3.

No to Rice.

Gimme 6'11 Gorgui Dieng out of Louisville thank you very much.

6'3 guard Erick Greene from Virginia Tech deserves consideration. The operative word is smart.

An extremely quick and crafty player that pushes the ball in transition attacking the rim, which is when he is at his best

A tremendous 1 on 1 player with a bevy of moves at his disposal ... Is comfortable spotting up or shooting off the dribble with solid shooting form. Shows good movement without the ball and uses screens efficiently. Has improved as a passer in his 4 year career, averaging almost 4 his senior year on a solid assist to turnover ratio. Is especially good at finding the open man off of the pick and roll.

I think a lot of people like Green. Hes a shot creator--if you look at other names on there---hardaway crabbe rice jr etc... they are ctahgc and shoot guys. Green has the goods to be a 1G and step in and make immediate impact. Green can get shots for himself and others hes excellent in transition and we were 30th in transition. Very shift and agile.

Dieng is the only big I like where we are picking--but I would take Green first if he was there. I think he can have immediate impact. He also could be better than pick 1 in this draft.

BRIGGS - as the Mel Kiper Jr of UK, does Erick Green earn your priority endorsement?

Would he look mahvelous in orange and blue?

Think about him and Felton in the backcourt. Or pairing him with Shumpert.

If styles make fights, The Answer Man likes the sound of taking the tempo up a notch.

I like dieng, but I think if jeff Withey is available, you go with him he rebounds and blocks, which is what we need. I like Jahii carson at the pg position, the guy put up INSANE NUMBERS.
Carson is on the small side, but very efficient scorer

He is a unique player and if you go from 23 all the way to draft pick 1 there is no other player like Eric Greene. hes taller than Trey Burke who would be the closest comparison. Hes a player who controls the game with the dribble and has the unique ability to get his own shot or set others up for theirs. He's a player who controls tempo.

Best Player Available

Ricky Ledo looks good. Plus he can stroke it.

More like a 2nd round prospect. I would buy an early 2nd rd pick to select him before picking him at 24. I want a PG or C in the 24 spot.

Should the Knicks draft Glen Rice Jr?

If we get a second pick then definitely but he seems like too safe a player and is projected to go in the 2nd round. We should pick the best player available and I've heard a lot of Knick fans talking about Shane Larkin who I'm starting to like a lot and Ricky Ledo.

Prigioni might be good as gone, so we should look to sign and trade him to the Spurs for the 28th pick to grab Rice Jr. then. In my opinion though, we should look to leverage the draft and whatever assets we have to go after proven young talent that isn't in their teams rotations e.g. Marshon Brooks and Jeremy Lamb.

Larkin may fall to us because of his size.

Ledo may fall to us because he was ruled ineligible to play this year.

Knicks need some talent.

Lets not draft another Jerome Jordan.

Marshon Brooks can ball, he would make an immediate impact on this team.

I agree with this, Dieng is what I would target. Greene would be my second option. If Knicks can't get Greene than purchase second round pick and take Pierre Jackson.

i apologize..i remember him going to georgia tech and underachieving. i did NOT keep up with his career. DUDE LOOKS AMAZING in those clips!

again, hes a 6-5 tweener...do we need another one of these?

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

He is a good rebound for his size.

The Knicks have a lot of holes

I'm typically all about BPA but I think the Knicks need to draft for need and I'd take a rebounding big - because there are none on the roster - or a PG with passing ability because I'm assuming/praying Kidd will retire

This post was back in January when all of these athletes were ranked in round 2 of the mock drafts. . I've liked Wolters and Green the whole year

Another really good player to watch for around slot 20 SG Victor Olapido Indiana---maybe best athlete or close to it in the upcoming draft but also has a really nice handle and plays 120% high motor. NBA body and athletic ability

Right now my top 5 for projected below 20 are(in no order)

Nate Wolters PG South Dakota State
Victor Olapido SG Indiana
Kelly Olynyk C /PF Gonzaga
David Mcdermott F Creighton
Erick Green CG V Tech
