Is the big lineup. It hasn't shown to be effective but then it really hasn't seen significant time together and hasn't had a training camp together really.
C - Non neck and flu Chandler from 2 years ago to anchor the D
PF - Amare who can hit a jumper or post up
SF - Melo who should still have a strength advantage against other SFs
SG - Breakout year for Shump
PG - Felton adequate for the position.
It's a longshot but it avoids having a Prigs/Felton backcourt where we are defensively compromised and don't really have the ability to drive and dish anyway. It lets the backcourt have 2 guards who can penetrate and initiate the offense. We may even be able to run a little bit with this lineup. Love Prigs but he is pretty slow. It's sucess is contingent on Shump with a training camp being able to be a decent distributor. We already know Felton is limited in that role.
It adds some rebounding up front and avoids Melo getting ground into dust by bigger PFs. Since Melo plays ~40 minutes you aren't going to be able to have Amare and Melo not play together.
This lineup's sucess is contingent on 3 of the guys having better seasons but with no cap flexability and few trade options(I don't think you try and trade CHandler at the lowest point of his trade value) it's really the only thing we can do besides repeating the same thing as last year, but this time with a healthy Rose, Rondo and Granger in our conference.
