In the end its the Somberites scrambling to find excuses and lay blame on Melo, Woodson, and Grunwald, but the simple fact is 54 wins is real good, and we are a few complimentary pieces from competing for a championship.

Blame Charles Barkley for not giving enough cred. He sucks because he's still butthurt by getting the broom pulled out on him in '89!

The Homers enjoyed the regular season from a nice view of enjoying the ride and pointing out constructive criticism to the roster where applicable

A nice season and no surprise when the aging injury plagued roster around our MVP candidate crumbles once the playoffs begin.

All Somberites have is the Knicks went one less round than the Heat, Pacers, Grizzlies and Spurs who all have superior rosters.

We still have 6th man of the year and the NBA leading scorer.

We have a strong enough team around our Mooby, we simply have to stay the course, and improve by tweaks and micro transactions.

Look up the early career of Kevin Garnet, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Dirk Nowitzki......

The Homers want to win but don't let emotions cloud the view. One can root for the Knicks without being delusional.

Memberships are welcome.

All you have to do is keep the faith.

.

Sombers enjoyed the season also! "Being a few pieces away", thats always been your rallying call......"wait until next year!" Lame.

Blame Charles Barkley for not giving enough cred. He sucks because he's still butthurt by getting the broom pulled out on him in '89!

"Butthole" really? The sweep still feel good to the homer? Charles called it, "knicks not gettng past 2nd round and Indiana the 2nd best in the east" Called it.

The Homers enjoyed the regular season from a nice view of enjoying the ride and pointing out constructive criticism to the roster where applicable

Same as the Somber. WE are not haters, we watch games and enjoy them. We want Melo to be Mooby. Really!

A nice season and no surprise when the aging injury plagued roster around our MVP candidate crumbles once the playoffs begin.

What Injuries? Amare was out all year and we did great without him! Kurt? Rashweed? Camby all season long non factors! The Somber recognize injuries before the starts. Its gonna happen when you recognize the reality that its the oldest team in the history of the NBA!!!!!! Homers can ignore that. A somber see's it. Haters love it.

All Somberites have is the Knicks went one less round than the Heat, Pacers, Grizzlies and Spurs who all have superior rosters.

Not sure what you mean by that. Yes, they are superior. We see it. We don't blame Woodson or the Refs.

We still have 6th man of the year and the NBA leading scorer.

Yes we Do. Put that in JR's pipe and smoke it! Leading scorer we have. Its great right! Whoo Hoo! Somber knows teams with leading scorers that are not Centers or Named Jordan usually don't go far in the playoffs. Homers think they do.

We have a strong enough team around our Mooby, we simply have to stay the course, and improve by tweaks and micro transactions.

Tyson disagrees, Boehiem disagrees, Barkely disagrees, and JR not talking. Tweeks and micro improvements are nice. I guess none of the other teams do this either. Nobody gets better but the knicks?

Look up the early career of Kevin Garnet, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Dirk Nowitzki......

Add three of the four on a team and you get one! What did boston do to get them? Drafted players, saved picks, developed assets and traded for them. Sombers like to draft players, keep picks and don't mind trades. Boston won. Boston had a rookie pg. Ours are old enough to be his father. Look at the early career of Glenn Robinson, Glen Rice, Mcgrady, Dantly..........Leading scorers who never won either.

The Homers want to win but don't let emotions cloud the view. One can root for the Knicks without being delusional.

Correction: Sombers enjoyed three game losing streaks! Notice the migration to "your" and "we". Apparently Centist-ism is dead!

We are actually going to debate Charley's documented Knick hate? Charles Barkley is now a harbinger of the truth? We talkin' bout Charles?

"Nets will have a better record than the Knicks" He called that one too. Do we really need to google +Barkley +"dumb things"?

Hi, the game threads beg to differ.

Kurt? who was hailed for single-handedly salvaging the season during the West Coast nightmare trip and getting JR's mind right?
Sheed? who started the start of the season, rode the bench and was Mr. Whiteboard?
Camby? Who contributed to some wins and still have folks scratching their heads at his non-use?

Sombers cried old! Sombers cried this is not real basketball! Then 18-6 happened. Then three to the head happened. The blow it up threads had to wait until the all star break. But they came.

Simple Somber blindness to anything that smacks of less than a ring, less than whatever the bar happened to be raised to this week.
Division? bleh
2nd seed? bleh
2nd round? bleh
We blame Melo. It's warm and cozy and it fits like those expensive Italian shoes.

JR the bonehead wins a trophy! Sombers never saw that one coming! Flashes of brilliance! Homers post vids of vintage dunks we haven't seen since Starks!
Sombers smirk, shake heads and move on to next Melo hate thread.
Sombers had fun for miles pointing and laughing at Melo warm up jacket without badges! He gets a badge, and suddenly, badges don't mean anything!
Homers also saw AI go to the Finals.
Homers also saw Dirk go to and win the Finals. He scored pretty well from what Homers can see. Last time Homers checked, neither of them were named Jordan or played the 5.

Sorry, but Boehiem would make most Homer's cringe with his level of Melo love. Thanks for playing wannabe-GM Jim, how's retirement going?
JR's not talking, but his brother's agent surely is! Real loud too!

I'm sorry, Homers thought Boston was the original Starphucque, weren't they? Thanks, Kevin McHale! Danny says Hi! Sombers seem to forget stuff like that when it's convenient.
Yes, yes, Rondo is the invisible Jesus we just don't have. Well, we almost had Jeremy the Baptist, but he moved to Houston. By Golly, I didn't know Felton was fathering kids at 4 years old! Sombers are really good at math, aint they? Dayum, but by the way, isn't that Melo a loser?
AI and Dirk say hello! Again!

Homers root. Like pigs around Dolan's sty.
Sombers are the voice of reason, rationale and sabermetrics. Don't forget Melo's FG% sux!

"and Melo sux and so does the FG% he rode in on" - Praise be to Lebron/Durant/CP3/Rondo and anyone currently playing for that majestic coaching genius King George Karl III!
Please kneel in your Somber pew and start the next "I wonder what Houston's off season moves are going to be" thread.

Sombers are not haters.

As the Defacto self absorbed, self annointed prime minister of the Somberite party I can state that Sombers had a good time this season and thought Melo played up, and played great! We applaud the 54 wins and the Job Woodson did. We prefer to not build around Melo but root for him.

Homers hate charles and look for a chink in his armor. Don't get angry, I did not say he had a little chinese man velcro'd to his clothes, its a figure of speach. Homers are emotional and just going to paint sombers and haters as one because if you not all in on the homer band wagon then we are against the team!

Looks like some of Melo's teammates understand why George Karl rolls his eyes when melo was a Knugg.

Know why the team did not beat Pacers? Knicks not as good as the pacers. Maybe the home thougth the team was better than advertised. Somber sees Rashweed, KT, Kidd as pluses but not to be counted on.

Why..........They is old!

I mostly agree with Chuck. The problem is the future.

Next year when Granger and Rose come back, Wade is healthy what are the Knicks banking on? Love Amare but if your realistic he's shot. Love Shumpert and a draft steal but he's a role player. He shows nothing that says star player. He shows tons that say good NBA player. Drafting a starter in the late teens is great. He's not saving this franchise.
Chandler? Maybe he will learn offense? Our pick #24?

Knicks are totally tied up with this roster and are NOT an elite team.

Without going to all the trouble of showing the difference in quantity and ferocity of negative posts with every losing game thread, and the missing posts of Somber joy within every winning game thread, without counting the number of threads entitled:
1) Melo sux
2) Why "the Trade" ruined my life and killed my pets
3) Why Denver, Houston, Minnesota, Sacramento ____________ [insert your favorite franchise] is run better than this sheethouse we're forced to post about on UK

6) It's only a matter of time before we have to blow this up, so why not blow it up now?
7) Melo's parametric usage equotient metric sux
8) 40 years....40 years.....40 years....
9) Amare was all we really needed.
10) I STILL miss the yoots/draft picks/flexibility/cash we gave away three years ago, please see number 2.

I think your more into who talks about what then what the subject at hand is.

Nothing wrong with that. BTW, Homers love talking about George Karl. Makes them feel better about knicks.

1) Melo sux

I like it when Chuckbuck says "Sucks balls"!

[img]2) Why "the Trade" ruined my life and killed my pets[/img

I named my Italian grayhound "Gallo", so I cry ever day!

3) Why Denver, Houston, Minnesota, Sacramento ___NETS_________ [insert your favorite franchise] is run better than this sheethouse we're forced to post about on UK

4) How Dolan makes my sports fandom worse than chronic impotence

Much easier than you imagine. Think of knicks and you feel bad. Dolan is attached. Think of Dolan and the blood leaves your erection.

5) Melo's FG% sux

"ball don't lie"

6) It's only a matter of time before we have to blow this up, so why not blow it up now?

Ka-Boom Badda Bing! We did once, Isiah blew it up!

7) Melo's parametric usage equotient metric sux

Liberal Somberites are good at math!

8) 40 years....40 years.....40 years
....
Vats 40 years, my people have wondered the desert once before! When Moses came down from the mountain he found his people worshiping a "golden Calf".......Oh shyt, never mind!

9) Amare was all we really needed.

I'dn't dat a Homer cry?

10) I STILL miss the yoots/draft picks/flexibility/cash we gave away three years ago, please see number 2.

ONly haters go there. Sombers want to think 3 years later the team is not frozen in time. Really, its the knicks, I doubt we'd still ave that core. Stale Homer response! Like a McCain/Palin bumper sticker, its just old!
