1. Iman came on strong as a defender and is turning into our own Paul George. He's only going to get better and thats a good thing. He's going to be a force in the league.

2. JR Smith is gonna have a hard way to go in the tri state area this summer. His selfishness (partying) cost us this series. He's going to be reminded of that early and often until the next season starts. Its an experience he'll learn from. Being this big a piece of a winning team is new for him. He was not this important in Denver.

3. Copeland looks to be getting better as well. His release is super fast and he has some playoff experience under his belt.

4. Woodson has hopefully learned some things that will make him a better coach next year. He's made enough mistakes to have learned a thing or 2.

All potential positives. Here's the facts:

1. Iman came on strong as a defender and is turning into our own Paul George. He's only going to get better and thats a good thing. He's going to be a force in the league.
FACTS: THIS CAN BE TRUTH. Iman needs to continue to heal from ACL tear and play at the 2 spot, not the 3.

FACTS: JR is a selfish person who does not care and will not learn from anything.

3. Copeland looks to be getting better as well. His release is super fast and he has some playoff experience under his belt.
FACTS: Copeland giveth and taketh away. He makes good plays, but dumb ones also. His defense sucks and so does his decision making other than chucking up a 3 (which he is good at). He is a better version of Novak.

4. Woodson has hopefully learned some things that will make him a better coach next year. He's made enough mistakes to have learned a thing or 2.
FACTS: Woodson sucks as a coach, never adjusts and never will. Too stubborn.

I am intrested to see how they handle amare's situation. Hands down, I give amare total credit for being a team player this whole time. Hopefully woodson finds an offense in where he can feature him. I just hate him being on the floor with JR, because 9 out of 10 times, he does not pass it to amare during pick and rolls

Last couple of years, the Amare saga has killed us...Im a little tired of it to be honest ..Amare isn't owed anything..He gets a big fat check and hasn't earned anything on the court in the last year..It's almost time to move on..If there was a way to escape that contrac, I'll take it in a heartbeat..

5. JR has wiped millions, MILLIONS off of his value- we actually have a shot at keeping him. And as unpopular as he is on these boards, and as much as he stunk in the playoffs, we're not going to get a player as talented as he is with what we've got (Veteran minimum, $3mil MMLE). We have to keep him or we take a big step back.

I agree with your points- as much as Woody has been blasted, he actually ended up doing what everyone kept asking for him to do. He benched Kidd and Amar'e. He went big that one game (disaster! but everyone wanted it). He played Cope more. Just like in the regular season- he's slow to change out of loyalty, but maybe he's learned to be a little bit more cold blooded these playoffs.

We just need to keep him in a minimal role for the next 2 seasons. 15-20 mpg and its fine. If we want to trade him at feb deadline in 2015 we can. Otherwise He will expire and both parties will move on.

The last few years have been brutal and our roster was garbage - so the bar had been set low. This season wasn't as great as it is being made out to be. Compared to the last 15 years it's definitely a huge improvement. But I am not satisfied to make being better than garbage the "goal".

The goal is to win championships and we are not any closer to it. Blame Tyson and Felton all you want but these results are on Melo and Woody. Melo doesn't get any help - he doesn't want any - he WANTS to score 50 - 60 a game. That's why the team was constructed like this - it's a model that never worked and never will. It played out exactly how I thought it would - we have put together something big expensive and worthless.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Check your history....we always go big and expensive....

And from what I can see....there's only 4 teams left. These 4 teams are better than us, from top to bottom. As far as I can see, we over achieved to get this far. Felton and Tyson played like backups. Woodson coached like an assistant. Melo played like a solid side kick to a superstar. Something we was suppose to get from JR. Melo just ran out of gas!

Only 4 teams left? That's definitely a positive way of spinning the situation. I guess when we got swept in the first round with Marbury, we could say there were only 8 teams left.

Check your reading skills. I don't accept these results as satisfactory because we have always been like this or worse. That's what "setting the bar low" actually means. Not interested. If both teams were 100% healthy we wouldn't have gotten out of the first round. This isn't even a question. And no that's not good enough.

I don't agree with that.
