I couldn't agree more with Tommy in his latest article. If Tyson Chandler made 1st Defensive Team, then let him guard Hibbert 1 on 1. Just crowd him when he makes his move, but stay close to your man. If you notice, Indy doesn't have to double, but when Melo or JR goes ISO, they have one guy playing man, the rest are playing a soft man. When Melo commits to his drive, they crowd the paint as a team, which puts them in position for rebounds. Tyson and Martin are some of the "so called" best defenders in the NBA. Let them play defense....Let Hibbert score his points....but reduce Hill and Stephenson from those momentum killing open shots.....We are not long enough at the guard position and don't have active young legs to send auto double teams on every posession, for the entire game. We have bigs that can guard Hibbert. Give them a shot. If you have to double, save that for crunch time. But give our defensive guys a chance to guard him first. Hibbert doesn't have the stamina to carry the offense by himself the entire game.
