Its Peter Vescey...so take it with a grain of salt.

For those who purported that extending Kurt Thomas' pact by three years makes him easier to move, think again. Sources say his new deal ($6.6M, $7.3M, $8M was added to the $5.8M covering next season; $27.7M total, not the $30M widely advertised) comes equipped with a 15 percent (lump-sum payout by the buyer) trade kicker.
