We dont need him to play more than what he did in Dallas this year. I wonder if we couldve got him for what we paid for Camby 3 years 14mm in a S+T? We need another 7 footer who can play.

C'mon Briggs. There has to be some other 40 year old player we can bring in!

I bet Kevin Willis could still bring it!

Sign Shaq AND Barkfree! Long term deals!

Just imagine what equipment you would need to pick both of them up!

How about Henry Sims? Didn't we almost sign him to a contract? From what I remembered, he showed good flashes and instincts in preseason, then went on to dominate the NBDL, before going to Asia.

He's already familiar with the system, and would be good Chandler insurance.

He's only 23.

I'm not too keen on signing Chris Kaman. The guy is a blackhole and we already have far too many of those on the team. He also tends to score by clogging up the paint, which should hurt Melo, Amare and JR's games respectively on offense. Defensively, he's poor to mediocre so I'd pass. I'd prefer Jermaine O'Neal because he plays solid defense, has a post game and can step out and hit a 10ft jump shot consistently. More importantly, he'd be cheaper.

+1. I'd also like Harrellson and Jordan back.

What's with the obsession of getting ex-knicks back? Just curious. Harrelson was a good defender but he'd be getting murdered on the boards in this series not to mention he had zero offensive game. An occasional shot followed by an airball.

I actually thought he was a good rebounder and that his shooting game was coming along. I personally thought his career arc would be this season's version of Rasheed Wallace although I believe that most would disagree. I suppose it all comes down to a matter of perspective. I also think that Jerome Jordan is athletic enough and focused enough to score with his back to the basket that he'll eventually emerge into a viable rotation player.

i dont want Kaman here (cant play def) and how would we get him anyways? no one wants cambys contract
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

He is young, has limited upside, but could develop. I thought he was smart, boxed out well, but I don't think he had enough explosion to the ball. I just think we can do better but I don't hate the idea of bringing him back.

If you guys are determined to get a different center, we could always trade Tyson Chandler for Andrew Bogut.

But otherwise, I'd just stick with what we have and try to draft well, get a few solid young players to go behind them so we have something going forward.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Camby is an expiring contract next season. He is very tradeable.

I don't think he was anything remarkable but when you've got a team that can contend, the guys willing to shirk individual glory are the ones that mean a great deal to the teams success. Harrellson is not going to take any shots he's not suppose to take and will do the dirty things necessary to win and make other guys look good. At worst,he becomes a liability in some respective of the game and remains a 3rd string player. At best, he works his way into an end of the rotation player and does some of the same things that made Sheed a nice player for this team (assuming his jump shot becomes more consistent).

Yes....tradable for junk. Teams aren't that willing to dump quality players for expirings.

Take a hard look at free agents. The only one's that made sense and are realistic are(for big men)

Andray Blatche(and he may get more than 3.5mm)
Chris Kaman
Samuel Dalembart

Kaman and Blatche are the skill players who can score--we already have 14mm going to Tyson to play defense and rebound. Dalembart is capable of both. There are a TON of teams with cap space and hoping anyone fo these guys will sign for 3.5mm will be luck. We have no offense at the 5 spot and unless Amare is playing no offense for the 4 man unless Melo is there(which is not working in this series)

One team's junk is another's treasure. Teams will give good players if they are trying to accomplish something like rebuild. For example, you can see a team like phx trading qualities players like Dudley, Frye, and Brown to save some money. Camby plus cash can net us a very good player somewhere.

Golden State would never do that now with they way he and the rest of their team is playing.
