We simply match up better with the Heat. We can match them on the glass and Bosh is nowhere the dominant figure inside as Hibbert. We put Shump on Wade and call it a day.

We have superior depth.

It would be fun.

Win Tuesday.

I agree that style and personnel wise Miami is a better matchup although they'd still probably win. But the Knicks are really going to have to earn the opportunity. I'm thrilled with the Boston series win, but we're going to have to play about 10 times better than we did against them to beat Indy. We weren't close to that yesterday. I'm real nervous about game 2. Must win.

+1

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

MSG3 - every time this season when our Knicks have been tested, they have risen to the challenge. Rather than listen to the echoes of negative vibes and calls for Mike Woodson to be fired (as he was during several points during the season) we should remember that these Knicks are resilient.

Expect the corrections to be made, and hopefully a more engaged crowd at Madison Square Garden.

Agree with you. Every time Woody and the team have faced heavy doubt they've responded in a huge way. I didn't see any coaching issues really yesterday. Just a lot of missed shots, frustration, blown assignments and lack of effort from Tyson. Tyson was an unsung hero of the games we won vs Boston. He needs to get his head on right for a full 48 minutes.

I believe in Melo. I think he'll snap out of it. JR is a different story.

Game 2 is the first true must win in 12 years.

You're are 100% right. Everytime the Knicks looked like they were down they came back. I expect a much better Game 2. Tyson has to play better than he did on Sunday.

Actually, Friday in Boston was a must win. We allow the Celtics to win three games in a row and game 7 is crazy city.

Lose game six and game seven is a chance for the Celtics to make NBA history.

Fair. But my personal opinion is must wins are when you're down or game 7. Game 6, due to the circumstance of having been up 3-0, was close though.

MSG3 - understand your point. This particular circumstance was unique. The ghosts of John Havlicek and Bill Russell stalking us from the unknown. Think about the pressure of the NY media, combined with the naysayers and fear mongers, on Sunday. Every error the Knicks made would have been greeted with groans and the inevitability of Boston franchise history.

Game 7 would have been unbearable.

Dead even with Miami.

The Knicks just received a psychological boost from what the Bulls just did to the Heat.

Dead even with Miami?? They have LeBron!

Miami in 5 against Chicago, Bulls just caught them a little drowsy after a 9 day hibernation

IronWill - Chicago has a nuclear weapon named Nate. Homeboy played despite 6 stitches after getting landed on by Lebron.

Derrick Rose pulls a Willis Reed in Chicago for game 3.

I really believe Rose is coming back in Chicago. My wife is a huge Bulls and I told her before the seireis that if the Bulls could steal one game in Miami Rose would be back for Game 3.

MSG3 - Derrick is not doing drills before games for appearances.

Chicago can get very loud.

Our fans would be wise to show up in full throat tonight.

Enough kvetching over Carmelo and Junior. We are a quality team that knows what it must do.

thank you so much for that post, couldn't agree more

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Let's forget the possible historic choking of LeDouche and Co and concentrate on the Hibbert puzzle.

Attack the rim from either baseline. Don't waste time and effort trying to let that rambling load stand straight up in the middle of the paint blocking all available air space in the front of the rim. Make him turn that 7'2" frame from side to side. Lots of dishing and swishing. Gilmore never won a chip in the NBA for a reason [oooohboy that's gonna get some flak] The game is about tall FAST people.

Hit the open man, Please God, hit the open shot. Oh yeah, and don't forget to defend and rebound after all those open dunks and jumpers that appear because Roy (and his no-name stand-in) is standing at home plate all game. That should work.

Our merry band of mercenaries will only gain confidence with every playoff victory.

Raymond Felton is learning the joy of the Broadway spotlight. I Man Shumpt is getting his first adult taste. Last year this same time Chris Cooeland WS in Belgium playing for a team you cannot pronounce. It only gets better. We have hoops in TheGarden during the second week of MAY

Are you not entertained?
