Again where is our pseudo all star center who has not one post move despite playing 12 years of nba basketball? The best part of this game was that we were not blown away had chances--we played well for stretches in the 1st half--BUT we can play double bigs for very long because each guys cant score and it clogs the lane.

Our all star center is and always has been overrated and soft. He picks and chooses when to play. It is what it is.

Instead of double bigs, I'd start Copeland at PF since he is good at spreading the floor as well as defending bigger players like when he was our center.

Melo needs to be a SF again in this series, but we can keep our play similar with Melo-Lite aka Copeland.

Amare has been the best of our big 3 this post-season

Oh, and about Tyson, I'd start playing Camby and even Barron to send the : you either try or you stay on the bench.

Its so bad I'm 110% sure we'd get more out of the C from Barron than Tyson at this point.

Talk about earning the garbage tag.

To,be fair Tyson played a couple great games vs Boston. But he's too inconsistent. Melo was ok games 1-3 and then not good from game 4 through today. Unlike Tyson though, at leastmCarmelo's effort looks like its there.

No need to kill him--but hes a role player who with 4 players who can score--can be a very nice piece. He just takes up a LOT of salary cap room and I have to wonder if we can spend those assets better.

Until a few months ago, he was our most consistent player. At that point, Briggs rightly said that Tyson had saved our season. Since then, he seems to be having bizarre physical health problems as well as injuries. He's said he sometimes is mentally foggy out there and it shows.

When a team has to change the way we play to counter the other team that is admitting that u r inferior. We won 19 of 21 playing 4. 1 and we. Scored well and spaced well. We can't score w Martin and chandler at same time

It really shows. But what can be taking his mind away from the game like that, especially to a veteran champion like him? Its like he isn't even there on the floor.

Not necessarily inferior, but weaker in that spot. Truth is Melo isn't a natural 4 and the Pacers have a traditional 4 as well as a traditional 5, which makes matters worse.

Copeland and Chandler make more sense than Martin and Chandler.

I agree but I thought that the Knicks seemed small today when Martin was in. I didn't think that the last time the Knicks played the Pacers as it was effective. Hibbert is a really good paint defender.

Also, playing Kidd has become like playing 4 on 5 on offense. He appears afraid to shoot and hasn't been able to make a shot.

Sounds like Kenyon wants to start.
Kenyon Martin, a Knicks reserve big man, made a thinly veiled pitch to rework the lineup, presumably with him at power forward and Anthony at small forward. Coach Mike Woodson used that alignment sparingly.

“Melo has to wrestle and tussle with David West,” Martin said. “I don’t think he should have to do that from the beginning of the game. We got size over there we can use to our advantage.”

I can't see Woodson starting Martin and chandler until its too late in this series. We gotta hope we can steal one of the 2 games in Indiana or we are toast

Thats the whole gig--with CA at 4 he should be able to spread the floor and mismatch the floor--outplay the 4. Melo needs the space playing 4 playing into their hands the other way

I think/hope they will. This team seams to act entitled a bit in the sense that they don't feel like they need to play hard every quarter in order to win. Now that they lost game 1, I'm sure G2 will be the good Knicks team showing up
