What young players can play and compete and be successful while wearing the Knicks Uniform in NYC at MSG in the PLAYOFFS with the organ going(dun dun) and the crowd yelling DEFENSE from the beginning to the end of games???

You have to have older veterans playing in those games for the knicks, cause even some vets + young pups although talented can't handle the pressure presented there. The mood & atmosphere at the garden during the playoffs, is surreal everybody can't produce there and if they do they are very special people.

Now guys on the opposing teams can play well, but when they put on a knicks uni they get a lil tight.

So save all that young talent crap, because when the playoffs come nobody wants to shoot, everybody wants to get an assist.

It's one reason why Lebron didn't come an many others in their prime won't, expectations are so high (43 yrs). So the argument of getting young talent with no veteran leadership playing and not (just sitting) on the bench will only sell tickets not win a CHAMPIONSHIP !

Or you can use draft picks to improve your team to lure the likes of Lebron Shaq KG ETC

Not Mcdyess Marbury Amare and Melo and co

Most of the guys you mentioned were in the prime of their careers or surrounded by hall of fame older talent.

So whata the point? They were either drafted by those teams or acquired through other teams lottery picks.

Draft picks are the key and the reason why we havent won a playoff series in 13yrs. Its not rocket science. Just complete disregard for their lottery picks

Well i guess we'll find out. We were up 3-0 and looked like a top contender. Now we look like a team that might make history by blowing 3-0 LEAD. Time for Melo and JR to step up in game 6 and end this series

The point is we can't re-build from the draft and win a Championship with those players.

This lays to rest you DIEHARDS who want the knicks to build like teams in the west(Denver-G.State Oklahoma etc.....

Boston only won with Vets not only young talent from the draft.

The pressure on young players to excel in the postseason and win a Championship at MSG is impossible !!!!! Ask Walt Clyde Frazier.

STOP WITH THAT STUPID ARGUMENT IT WON'T WORK

We don't get lottery picks when we make the playoffs. You watch the Knicks and still don't understand you don't win a Championship that way. Last time the knicks won a Championship the players ages were:

Frazier 27 yrs old
Bill Bradley 29 yrs old
D. Debusschere32 yrs old
Earl Monroe 28 yrs old
Willis Reed 32 yrs old
Jerry Lucas 32 yrs old
Phil Jackson 27 yrs old
Dean Meminger 24 yrs Old
Dick Barnett 36 yrs old

Young guys can't handle it at MSG

Oh no i agree. Im refering to all the years we sucked and traded lottery picks or tried to win meaningless games instead of tanking in the right drafts. Its just not Dolans way. He has no interest in drafting the likes of lebron. That is my biggest issue with jimmy

I think had the Knicks hired MJax and didn't draft Gallo and instead took Bropez they might have gotten there. While I like Gallo as a player the Knicks already had Wilson and had a ton of other needs. I think Gallo was the start of building a roster for D'Antoni. I also think MJax and the Knicks take Jennings or another point over Hill. Bropez, Wil, Lee, Jennings going into the summer of 2010 would not have been bad. Knicks probably had cap space for one star still if they kept that group together.

It was Murphy's law this season with injuries. Beyond the law of averages, I'm guessing. Which is too bad because a few more healthy players and I'm pretty sure we wouldn't be having any doubts about this team's potential. We can still be a dangerous team if some of our older players stop acting like young talent.

We have an advantage over the Pacers if we play the right way,Indiana doesn't have cagy veterans to help them win games. Our experience will take us down hill after the Boston series.

We have to do what Boston did in the east get veteran star talent to be able to play in MSG, young pups without veteran leadership is doomed in NY.

Felton won a chip at Univ North Carolina, Melo Won in Syracuse, Prigioni won multiple Chips in Spain.
Chandler and Kidd won a Chip in Dallas.Kmart Played in Championship games

This is our core we must ride with these guys into the sunset, young players without these types will wild out in NYC on their own.

I think talent wins rings..it has nothing to do with age. Gallo & crew were nice role players not elite talents.
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Name a young team that won a championship recently . Even Magic had Kareem

It doesn't exists, if they make it to the finals they will lose because of the intense pressure to perform consistently to win 4 games out of 7
