A shame we can't offer Beverly a front loaded, 3yr $24mil contract this offseason...

Felton had a dislocated pinky and that was ok? Lin has a bruised chest in that he can't raise his arms over his head and that is not ok? I know Lin hate is big around here but you gotta be a little fair sometimes.

I'm sorry but him giving himself the hook last year because he was at "85 percent" so he could guarantee himself $$$ despite the fact I shelled out coing for Lin merchandise means he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt from me.

I know Lin is a favorite of yours because he's a role model to your kids but I'm a Knicks fan first and he hooked himself so he could look out for number one.

Also, how does resting yourself mid season the same thing as the playoffs?

Okay, Lin can't perform because he's injured... shouldn't that pattern of being unable to hold up by the time the playoffs roll around be concerning?

Yes. That is very concerning to me. He seems to be either fragile or his style of play is just not conducive to have a productive NBA career. Clyde Drexler has said it in all of the Rocket telecasts and I find this to be true now, he said that Lin just needs to know how to fall or to stop taking those unnecessary hits. His body will not be able to take it. In my many years of watching the NBA, Lin is the only player I know that takes a hit in almost every game. He has no wiggle in his game so he uses his speed to get by people and ends up getting hammered because the defender was able to square up on him. He actually started wearing body armor like Melo this year but I don't think it helped much.

He is one tough kid though. He has not missed any games this year even though he was getting hit and he has severely sprained his ankle in 2-3 occasions this year. I would not question his toughness....but I am beginning to question if he is fragile or his style of play has to change.

If Lin hurt is injured when next year's playoffs come around he's going to have a hard time getting another deal like the last one.

Didn't catch the second half but Harden had 10 turnovers? He did have 5 steals though. I was surprised he got max money in light of last year's playoff performance. Had a great regular season, playoffs not as much success.

Harden is very loose with the ball, but he does attack the basket a lot. A lot of his TOs were offensive fouls too. I think he had 4 or 5 fouls yesterday.

He does get to the rim. Harden also coughed the ball up twice in the final couple of minutes of game 3, cost them the game IMO. Harden definitely has game but I still haven't seen a clutch playoff performance from him yet.

He relies too much to the refs calling the fouls. A lot of his moves are to bait the officials to call it. When they swallow their whistles then it looks foolish.

Basketball fans are idiotic sometimes.

Why argue over who gets the starting position between Beverley and Lin. Wouldn't it be a blessing to have two really good point guards? I think that's pretty dangerous for the opponent when you have two PGs + a SG who also plays well like a PG.

Subjecting Lin to the 6th man rotation is silly. Lin plays well when he has another PG on the court at the same time. It is up to the coach to decide when to put two of his PG together on the court.

Rockets are moving dangerously close to being title contender within the next year or two. I wouldn't be surprised if they suddenly morphed into an OKC type team.

Well that's Dolan's money. The cap hit is $8 mil per season - a little above the average NBA player.

The cap hit wasn't going to be 8 mil for the knicks. The new cba allowed the Rockets to sign him for the average of his contract. The Knicks would have to pay him 15 million in year 3.

Lowry is better than Lin but has been injured. I know he wouldn't go back to Houston.

From what I've seen, the Rockets are a better team with a healthy Lin on the floor. Beverley has been playing like, oh, Nate Robinson recently and, sure, he might turn out to be a pretty good baller but Lin, IMO, generally makes better team decisions and the team as a whole plays better. No, Lin isn't a top five (or even top ten) PG but Harden plays more efficiently with Lin on the floor and together they make a solid backcourt. Lin is still learning, still getting better, and I think he'll probably end up being a significantly better than average guard in a year or two. Lowry has, I think, hit his ceiling. He's a decent backup but if I was coaching, I'd go with Lin.

Lowry would probably murder somebody if he got sent back to Houston and McHale. I still think Raptors would do everything in their power to get Lin if he is available via trade. He is a big time money maker for that team.

I agree but I don't think McHale sees it that way.

Has Jeremy Lin lost his starting job?
