![]() They're each outstanding under good circumstances. I'd probably pick Chandler because he has less baggage

![]() i understand Tyson has less baggage but DHoward (when motivated) is a beast. i take DHoward only because I believe in Woodys ability to teach & mold (just likeJR)
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

If we ended up with Dwight, I would make TKFs criticism of Melo look restrained! I'd hate it- Dwights attitude the last two season has been so bad, it's been genuinely embarrassing to watch. |

![]() Chandler is one of the most overrated players in the entire league. He doesn't score or block shots. His defense somehow become urban legend after Miami couldn't figure out how to beat a zone.
Howard was 18pts 12rbs and had a terrible season, which would be Chandlers career year. There are 10 centers better than Chandler and none better than dwight. Look at Chandler's playoff averages that ends the debate. |

The difference should have been much more than 6 PPG. |

![]() Chandler would be cheaper and less contriversal. Chandler doesn't need offensive plays for him to impact the game. Dwight cries when he doesn't get any touches....Then his defense and energy starts to drop. Chandler can guard Dwight.....Chandler can shoot free throws. Chandler is a better fit with Melo and company.
You think Dwight was upset at Kobe for taking a lot of shots. How you think Dwight would feel playing with Melo and JR, after they just shot over 60 attempts? Dwight will get over 20 mil per year.....He's not going to just play defense, he wants to be part of the offense as well. He wants to be the franchise player. He would be second to Melo in NY. The problem with Dwight will be the hack and Shaq strategies towards the end of close games. How do you pay somebody over 20 mil dollars, just to sit him in crunch time / 4th quater due to poor free throw shooting. It's close, but I would choose Chandler over Dwight and use the extra cap space for a role player or two. Eventhough Dwight might be more talented on both ends, Chandler is the cheaper option. Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland.
The future is bright, I'm a Knicks fan for life!

Y'all took Melo and loved him, why not Dwight? Woodson would welcome him into the brotherhood of the neglected superstar club and begin the healing! |

![]() Personality wise I think Melo and Howard would get along off the court, but we've seen what happens to Dwight when he plays next to someone who is good enough to challenge for the scoring title. Unlike most All-Stars, it looks like Howard wants a team all to himself, doesn't want to share the spotlight or the touches. Watching him play in Orlando in the early years I never would have guessed that he would turn out like this.
I do believe that with a full offseason to rest, no Olympics, or a compressed lockout season, and Chandler will be able to play more games next season. I would want the Knicks to entertain any legitimate offers for Chandler, see what's out there, but not for Howard, Not anymore. |

![]() Normally I would say Dwight, but at least Tyson can hit some free throws. Also Tyson isn't a mental midget.
For the price, free throws, and less baggage, I'd pick Tyson. |

![]() Tyson could barely get a team to .500 with Gerald Wallace and Felton. Howard took a team with Nelson, Turk, Ariza, Courntey Lee and Rashard Lewis to the NBA finals. Dwight was injured all year long. Let's not forget Kobe had a problem with Shaq and is probably the biggest diva in basketball.
What does Chandler do exceptionally well. His career numbers are 9pts 9rbs 1.3blks. He is a solid offensive rebounder, but aside from being known as an elite defender, what has he down out there to really make you believe that he is. Let's not forget that the Knicks team you saw yesterday is the Knicks team of the future. JR Smith is gone this offseason, no one leaves 5MM a year on the table. I don't care what their relationship is, ask Melo about waiting to get paid with guarenteed money on the table. The Knicks are in the business of trying to beat Miami. The east is going to be better next season, we are not going to have the benefit we did this season. |

![]() maybe I should go look, but did Dwight actually play this year?
Maybe he has time to turn it around. But I chose Chandler because I'll take guys with less talent but more heart that heartless wanna be superstars. That - and do we even know if Dwight is ever going to recover from his back surgery - and by recover, I mean to his former status/form? |

![]() There has been zero drama surrounding Chandler...and he is a great locker room guy and part of the soul of this team regardless of stats. This team has had enough turnover, I voted to stay with Chanler. Let's keep adding complimentary pieces around our core.

![]() I dont know JR is leaving and what we saw yesterday is the knicks team we will prob see fir the rest of Melos tenure. I would upgrade the talent level offensively. Melo wont win a ring going one on one especially against a Lebron led team

Dwight Howard at his worse is better than Chandler at his best. Dwight Howard is not some locker room cancer. NY Knicks - Retirement home for players and GMs
