After watching the Knicks last night and seeing how they need a shotblocker like Mutumbo, they should sign Chris Anderson. He'll be very cheap, will bring no offense, but as a guy who comes in for 20 minutes to patrol the lane, he'll be very effective. Excellent shot blocker and above average rebound. Also would add a world of athleticism to the Knicks frontline, where they have 0 athletes.

Averages 5 blocks per 48 minutes, and that's in the West.

The other day had 7 blocks in no more than 20 minutes vs. Utah. I'd look to sign him if Swift wasn't available with a small part of the MLE. Could the Knicks use the LLE to sign him?

I like this player as Dikembe's eventual successor. Knick players like DerMarr who aren't good on defense need a reliable shot blocker behind them or else they become liabilities.

Our teams used to be known for our suffocating TEAM defense. ISiah must find the right players and maybe a new coach in order to get Knick defense back to the level we are accustomed to.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Am I in the minority in thinking that Chris Anderson will warrant more than the LLE? Atheletic big men are tough to find in the NBA.

definatly more than the LLE. For god sakes Memphis was considering trading Swift for Jerome James... bigs are just tough to find. I would offer him something like 3 years $10-$12 mill per.

Doleac could be had for the LLE (again)

I agree. A great shot blocker can make up for a bad defense. Too bad Isiah doesn't see it the same way

Does anyone know what type of defensive scheme the Nuggets run? What is his man to man defense like?

The whole thing is that he is cheap and a very good shot blocker, which the Knicks need. He won't score unless its off a putback or alley-oop.
