I still think that Layden deserves more of the blame for the bad start. Sure, as a coach, should make the best out of what you have, but Layden has made it extremely difficult for Van by making no attempt to replace Camby while he is injured. If Felton Spencer is the best center we have then it's no surprise we're losing to teams like the Warriors, who have a huge, deep frontcourt. And when we play against such teams, so much pressure is on Spree and Houston to shoot well and perform at a high level, because there is no inside presence on offense.

Right, we have better players than the record suggests, and the coach is supposed to motivate and win games. Hasn't the Knicks management not let their coaches go in to their last year of contract without either firing or extending?

If anything VG is gone before Scott. But I would guess that nothing will happen until the 15th December date.
