C-Knx-the knx have a two headed monster with either or both combined putting up more than the Nets Combo
SF-Clealry the Nets with Jefferson looking more like an all-star with each passing day.
PF-Even only because KMart is less than 100%
SG-Nets-because Houston will be less than 100%
PG-Even because Kidd will be less than 100%
The result looks like an even series because of the injuries. If all healthy the Nets would win because Kidd meshes so well with rest of the team. Sorry to say that Kidd is better point guard than Steph (at the moment) even though Steph is by far the more consistent offensive talen but Kidd has the edge in passing and defense. Ar full strength Houston outclasses Kittles and KMart is better than the Knx PF group.take the series If healthy Nets take series 4-2.
Under present circumstances I predict Knx stay alive 4-2

I'd give Marbury the advantage with a less than 100% Kidd. Plus Kidd will most likely need to rest his knee more than often, and Stephon definately has an edge over Planinic.

the only one who scares me is Kenyon and to me he is their 3rd best player. I'm worried that he'll kill Kurt with his quickness as he usually does. If Kurt is having a hard time guarding him Sweetney should be in the game very quick.

My Opinion: I dont want this matchup! I want to see us get to the 5th Seed and face MIL. But more likely, this will happen, so this is my opinion on that, the Player in bold being my favorite to win that matchup.
Center Position Matchup(s)
1. Nazr Mohammed vrs. Jason Collins
2. Dikembe Mutumbo vrs Aaron Williams
3.Vin Baker vrs. (Nets Don't Have any Center to Matchup to Baker, Due to Alonzo Mourning's Absence)

I want that 5th seed to man! I'm gonna root my ass off for the Knicks to win while at the same time checking Miami's and New Orleans boxscores. Hopefully Miami loses the next 2 somehow. If I see that they are winning easily then I'll have to root for the Knicks to lose cos I want out of that 6th seed!

oh man in order for the Knicks to get the 5th seed and not the 6th New Orleans has to lose both too I don't want to root for them to lose tonight I won't mind though if they rest the starters and play the fresh legs again.

While I don't disagree with any of the head-to-head analysis, hoops isn't a 1 on 1 game. The nets cores has been together 3 years, has gone to 2 finals, and plays extremely well together on offense and defense. We've got the talent to match up, but, unless we come together in a way we haven't seen yet, we need more time playing together to take the Nets. (The fact that we match up on paper is a tribute to Isiah and gives hope for next years). Still, this year I'd forecast going down 4-2 or 4-3.
