Every sat am for now...when its warmer out..then 3-4x/wk
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

I'm gettin old so I play with my sons but only half court and in short stints. I tend to end up just working on skills with them. I can't afford to hurt myself at this point. Knees are already barking. I'm just glad that I can actually play with my sons. It's a great feeling.

Retired years ago. Have not picked up a ball in 4 years. That was when I moved and the basketball hoop was in the driveway.

Still find ways to hurt myself playing tennis but it keeps the competitive juices flowing and a reason to workout.

I'm going to share a story to show the sheer insanity of my Knicks fandom.

About 3years ago we had a pretty bad snow storm here in Baltimore. I have DirecTV and those who have or have had it know that in storms you sometimes lose reception. It has gotten better but it still happens from time to time. The next day a Knick game was scheduled and the reception was out because the snow was covering the dish on my roof. So, insane fan that I am, I decide that I'm going to get up on that snow covered roof and clean off the dish.

I get a ladder and broom, make my way up, sweeping the snow away as I ascended. I make it up and to the dish and use the broom to clean it off no problem. Then, preparing to make my way down to the latter but, instead of shimming backwards on my belly, I try to turn onto my back to inch my way down. No sooner do I begin when swoof, I start sliding, going faster and faster as I went. Then I am free falling but, just as I realize it, I land on my feet on the deck below and I feel a crunch in my knee. Needless to say, I know how Shump and Rose feel.

It took 3years for my knee to heal and a large part of me feared I would NEVER EVER be able to play ball again because my lateral movement was non-existent and I didn't trust the knee with anything strenuous. To be honest, I didn't even realize it was healed until one day I had to run to catch a bus a few months ago. The lack of pain afterwards shocked me and little by little I began to test its limits. It was unexpectedly rusty and week but within another month, I was playing ball again and so, so thankfully that I can, once again play the sport I love.

Sorry about being so long winded. Just wanted to share. Anyone who's suffered an injury that kept them from doing something they love will be able to related to my pain and elation.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Mayhem is my hero.

Back on topic:
Can relate Durzo; almost 35 years of pickup ball, and 4 years ago finally had to give in and get the knee cut; missed that whole summer. It's shaky, but I'm now still able to play every Saturday AM through the summer, but only a few times through the winter. Can't imagine not playing.

Work on the j every single day. Even in the rain. Gonna have the step back, fall back baby working this summer

Hurt my back a couple years back. Never rehabbed it. I just expected it to go away. Now I can't play many games but I shoot around all the time.

I shoot around a few times a week, but I used to play games every single day. When I was in high school, I used to shoot around in thunder storms without giving it second thought.

I've been pretty busy lately so I haven't had too much time to get in games but by the time June rolls around, I'll be back into it a good couple of times a week.

The most I've done in years is shoot the ball around the park. I dislocated both my knees twice and have little to no carlidge left in my right knee. Even just to shoot in the park I look like the 2nd coming of Tim McCormick. Funny....when I was young I had hops and could hang from the rim with no problem. No the hoop looks like the top of the Empire State Building.

How often to I play ball? Enough to whoop on computer nerds that hide behind these forums all day, trying to be a tough guy.

We should hold a UK pickup game in different states, to give the fans outside of NYC a chance to play. I live in Baltimore, so thats not too far from NYC, but might be easier for other fans along the East Coast.

Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland. The future is bright, I'm a Knicks fan for life!

How's the aquarium? I probably haven't been there since I was 5 (which would be 26 years ago). I'm trying to make a point to visit it one day.
