if the spurs waived him, can we pick him up for the playoff run and cut white?

No, any player who was on an NBA team after a certain date can't be on the playoff roster for another team. If he had been a free agent all year we could pick him up for the playoffs.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

Much as I like his passion, Stephen jackson seems to be tough to deal with. A couple of seasons ago while he was playing some of the worst basketball of his career he started to get into a dispute with his team claiming that he was underpaid and wanting a contract extension. He seems to be obsessed with the idea that he's underpaid, when most people would say at $10mil per, he's been overpaid for years. Apparently this season he's been having lots of rows with the Spurs coach, to the point where they looked into trading him at the deadline (no ones going to take on that contract), but decided to try and work through it. Guess they couldn't. Seems like he thinks he's better than he is. Must have been pretty bad if the Spurs would rather cut him now than keep him.

So I'd be careful when deciding if we should go after him in the offseason. He's been declining quickly for the past few seasons and he has a huge ego. Oh and there is not a hope in hell he'll accept the minimum if he thinks he's being underpaid at $10mil per season.

Hes not eligible
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

I would cut Wallace if medical staff doesn't think he will be healthy enough to run/contact by 1st round for Jackson prior to our last season game if we are set in for #2 seed
It takes time to get in NBA shape and even he cannot run/contact drills somewhere between now and 1st round play offs, he likely will not be able to contribute even 10minutes per game in the finals

I know we cannot use him this year for play offs, but we would be able to use him for next season and beyond
Remember, we only have vet min to offer, aside from mini MLE, 1 draft pick, and a possible ability to trade for a player with White's and Solomon's salary, Brewers trade exemptions, with 150% rule, and a future pick *OKC 2nd round*
While I would not give him a big contract, I about 2m each year for 2 years with 3rd year as team option is contract friendly, and would be a solid 10th man role off the bench that could play both decent DEF, stretch the floor, and play both Forward spots

I also would no doubt cut Jones for about anyone, for either a a F like Warrick or a PF/C in the D League like Josh Boone/Hilton Armstrong, of course they would have to agree to a 2nd year team option that we could use for trades this summer
I hope we can buy low and gamble on Brandon Rush

JR Smith
Martin
Copeland

are players that we might not be able to keep at what we would like to offer them
Unless STAT retires or we get an injury exemption to use....

I think in the post game they said it is a condition issue right now and if that's true he could be back for the 1st round. It didn't take him that long to get into condition in training camp. Hopefully he can give some emergency minutes in the 2nd round.
