Fourteen games ago the fable will tell

Kurt Thomas' fractured foot was stressed and not feeling well.

Adding up age and mileage, it may have been his last game

Kurt, never a crybaby, dared the PA announcer to mispronounce his name.

Flashing the toughness that defined his 19-year career

he put his body on the line to save the entire freakin' year.

Earl Smith may be swishing, Pablo dishing while Amare is gelfilte fishing

but don't forget Kurt Thomas while Carmelo is rarely missing.

Those 26 minutes may not be remembered as the dramatic entrance of Reed

did his courage in Utah plant a 13 game seed?

Kurt left it all on the court for his team,

he didn't pout

The Answer Man hereby proclaims a day of remembrance...

what a great way to go out.

if Kurt Thomas was a Yankee, everyone would call him a 'warrior'. Here, he doesn't get enough love. I appreciate what you do KT

Come on Knicks, do Kurt right. If we don't offer him an internal job, at least keep him around ala Baron Davis. The guy is a true Knick.

Wish we could've kept KT. He saved our season.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

agreed way to go out for KT but KT should be brought back as Nyk coach
as-sisstant, p/t player... KT or/and Kmart only aged BIGs should be offered
a contract. Least 1 of the 2

DJ appreciates durty Kurty KT
always a Knick
the Jazz-NY knick win dubbed "The Kurt Thomas Game"

however I dont get the move, yes NY had to cut KT to add body
but James Singleton? 31 yr old 6 rebounder/gm outside USA

NY needed a big
Dont see KT cut as positive for NY but if you gotta make move for playoffs
Singleton wont play & a waste of move.

did you the AnswerMan just say "gelfilte" fishing?

Other than that, a truly nice job, UK poet laureate.

Will await the Somber response. Should be entertaining.

Oh and four on the roadtrip
And all was going so well
When along comes a has been
Krazy eyed as hell

His foot cracked and bleeding
Him mind full of hate
He swats a few shots
and makes us think of '98...

No, more like:

KT would have been able to have a better end to his career on a more finely run organization. With better medical staff. And a brighter owner.

This run was nothing
but foam on the beach of my discontentment
KT's performance in Utah
will be a fitting epitaph
For the Knicks last hurrah

We are a one and done team
This record is just a dream
Woody is providing nothing but
useless 50 cream

I will refuse to talk about Melo

Kurt got us one of the most important wins of the season. He played that Jazz game like he knew it would be his last and went out in style. Now I hope he's made an assistant coach the rest of the way- he had that role in Dallas while recovering from the ankle injuries early in he career.

how many of the UK posters will admit that they wanted KT gone the first time, that they thought removing him would be addition by subtraction?

KT was reliable and simple. He never tried to do anything he couldn't, just gave 110% and wanted to win.
