Im routing for Atlanta to pass Chicago so Indiana and Chicago play each other in the 1st Rd and one goes home early!

So must win shorthanded or not. Fortunately Chicagos roster is also depleted.

Let Altanta send the Nyets home early

Oh and need the 2 seed and homecourt vs Indiana who stink on the road but are great at home

plantar fasciitis, the silent killer

The Bulls are in no better shape. Joakim Noah, their defensive backbone, is out because of plantar fasciitis. Luol Deng (hip) and Taj Gibson (knee) are listed as day to day but seem unlikely to play Thursday. And of course, Derrick Rose, their All-Star point guard, has been out all season.

Deng being out is huge for the Bulls. He is a heart and soul type of player

Will they play a zone? With Noah out it changes there size and if Deng is out Jr should attack the paint like a made man since Butler will more than likely guard Melo.

Deng has killed the Knicks this yr offensively and held Melo to his worse shooting nights so I am praying that he is out.

Although the way Melo is shooting right now it probably wont matter but I could see Deng sending him into another tailspin funk. So hopefuflly he is not playing

Yeah you're right, Deng, and Bulls as a whole, have handled Melo very well, but Melo has been just killin it against pretty solid defenders during this streak:

Wash - Singleton - 36 in 3 qtrs
OKC - Ibaka - 36
Mil - Mbah Moute - 41
Atl - J. Smith - 40
Mia - Battier - 50

Pretty ridiculous

I think the key for tonight will be doubling down on Boozebag all night and forcing the supporting cast to knock down shots. I also see Prig and Nate getting into it tonight bc of some rough stuff in previous games. Hope it's an injury free victory and the Bulls somehow stay in that 5 spot.

We'll see who steps up tonight defensively with Chandler/Kmart out. The pace might end up being a little faster than usual.
