we need a reinforcement with a big man from the D league. He only needs to do the basics--but we need that size and 5 games to get him acclimated to our team.We dont need much out of a big but we do need 1.

Jerome Jordan p[lays in the D league--I didnt even know that. Hes played here and has familiarity. He can certainly help the team. Release White and nab Jordan.!

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Agree with this post. All our bigs are held together with scotch tape and elmer's glue, gotta have insurance.

I was a fan of getting delonte west. I was skeptical of playing prigs big mins but it looks like its working out ok. I would take a gamble on signinn west at SG this summer cuz jr and cope arent coming back with their great play

In my opinion, Hakim Warrick is the best FA available that we could use for the playoffs
I know he is not a C, but he is a legit SF/PF that would allow Melo to NOT defend our opponents like Lebron, Durant, George, Deng, and even Boozer/Blatche/Evans
With the latest Martin injury in addition to

Amare
Wallace
Thomas

and the health/age issues of Chandler/Kidd

We still have Camby/Copeland *who is playing great as the stretch 5*
It looks like we are keeping White for trade reasons if his contract is structured similar to Gadzuric's to add salary in the summer
But with the injuries to the first 3 mentioned with Amare/Wallace/Thomas, I think we should look to cut Thomas or Wallace to improve our #1 priority, to increase our % to win a ring
I know Woodson would like to keep all his vets for experience but they have not played for too long and would take much time to get in NBA shape
At their age and number of games missed already, we should not expect major contributions from them in the playoffs

I do not know if Warrick has been staying in shape vs picking up a player in the D League that has been playing staying in shape by playing inferior competition
but that is something Grunweld/Woody/management/staff have to figure out
because out of 15 players, we have under 10 that are expected to be able to contribute at 100% by playoffs

As for Jordan, I don't think he is eligible to return to the Knick's this season because of the new CBA/trade to Houston for Camby...

we are keeping white to help defend against and give 6 good fouls to LJ in the playoffs.

Yep, same with Jordan. 1 year restriction. I'd be happy to bring either or both of those guys back for summer league/training camp though.

We can only sign a player who is playoff eligible now if they haven't played in the NBA yet this year:

We don't need James White the player, but i don't think we trade him as he is a valuable non-guaranteed contract to include in a deal over the summer. I gauarentee that is the only reason we keep him.

Then this means the only players we can sign and be eligible for the playoffs are D-Leaguers who have not yet been called up.

Indeed, I use Hoopshype.com and they only have White's salary as a 1 year deal, vs other sites that show him as a team option
So I did not understand why we never cut him till someone else brought it up recently

Can he bring us back anything useful since we cannot use our own players to use as S&T's?
Of course we will have that 3m to use again in the summer, OKC's 2nd round pick next year, to go with rights to 1st rounder this summer, future 1st rounders *although not sure if 2016,17,18*, in addition to the regulars speculations contracts/assets of Iman/Chandler


At this point, adding a players some lowery level salaries would be great if we could
