he Knicks say center Tyson Chandler is doubtful for Tuesday's game against Washington due to a bulging disk in his neck.

Chandler recently missed 10 games due to the injury.

He returned to the lineup last week and said he felt pain in his neck after playing his first two games. The All-Star center said after Friday's win over Milwaukee, though, that he was feeling better. He played well in the Knicks' victory over Oklahoma City on Sunday.

The extent of his discomfort is unknown at this point.

If Chandler sits, the Knicks may be very thin on the front line against Washington. Kenyon Martin is questionable for the game due to a sore left knee. But the veteran forward told reporters Sunday that he'd play against the Wizards.

Martin has missed the last two games due to the injury.

Marcus Camby is unavailable due to a left plantar fascia. He has missed the last two games due to the ailment.

This is obviously not good news, especially after hering 24 hrs ago he felt no pain or discomfort.

It is concerning. On Sunday he played a good game and it looked like he was pain free. The biggest problem is that Camby has been such a bust. He was suppose to give tyson some rest during the season and he coulndt even do that. Camby is starting to make Jerome James look good and that is scary

Knicks need to dump some guys this summer and rebuild on the fly around Melo. I don't trust Chandler to stay healthy.

I think they're being cautious. He was the only big to play on Sunday and they probably want him to get the extra rest ahead of Chicago on Thursday.

I agree. I love the winning streak but id rather have our guys healthy for the playoffs. Chandler has been a warrior since he became the knicks he has battled a lot of injuries but any buldging disc should be taken with caution. Im more upset at Camby since he always gets hurt even though he never plays

How are you going to get someone better than Chandler? We have no cap space and only a late 1st round pick.

Dont need to get someone better just comparable. Our entire front court is injury prone.

I hate to talk about upgrading or changing a roster before a playoff that could be special, but I think Tyson has a lot of value in a trade and I still think he's overrated. I hope he makes me eat my words and look foolish over the next couple of months.

IMO you don't have to trade to pick up a couple guys who can play 1 in the 1-4 spread offense. Always feels like there are a lot of mobile bigs with no post game or outside shot available in the offseason - and luckily this is what we need. Could probably get away with a platoon of 3 guys who can set screens, finish at the rim and anchor the defense.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

IDK but if they could get Larry Sanders or Jordan and Bledsoe. I mean Tyson is a top ten offensive player and former DPoY. Surely he must be highly valued.

On the real I am not to worried considering the possibilty of them using cortisone shots to get him through the playoffs. I am not a doctor so I maybe off base
