He can rebound with an active body and will give a nice mismatch. Over 38 minutes hes likely 15-7. No reason to play Tyson or Kenyon. Give Camby the other 10.

Camby cant play 48 minutes--will be lucky to get 10 from him. We did not choose to grab someone from the D league--so our choices are pretty slim. I think that Copeland is the only candidate but he is active and can rebound and score.

Tysons out too?

According To The Answer Man, No News Is Bad News

CrushAlot wrote:Q. Anymore news on sheed or Kurt?

Rasheed Wallace Out Apr 4
Comment: Sheed had his left boot removed a few days ago, at the four-week mark of his foot surgery and he is also off crutches. Wallace is traveling with the team. Wallace does not have a timetable for when he will return, ESPN New York reports.

Kurt Thomas Out Apr 4
Comment: Thomas (foot) worked out on the elliptical machine for the first time Wednesday, Newsday reports.

Tyson Chandler Day-To-Day Apr 3
Comment: Chandler (neck) suited up Wednesday in Atlanta, moved like The Mummy. “It’s tough trying to look up at the ball for rebounds or lobs. It’s thrown my timing off. I’m just a little stiff right now. I’m not as mobile. I’m not there. I’m not myself moving around like I normally would.”

Kenyon Martin Out Apr 4
Comment: (knee) "I am probably going to take the night off, probably just take it easy tonight. Get myself a couple of extra days of rest, I've been going hard"

Amare Stoudemire Out Indefinitely
Comment: (both knees) Amare said he felt phenomenal

I feel good about Tyson. I feel good about K-Mart. We’ve just got to make sure that they’re ready when the playoffs start.”

Oh, I didn't know that. I don't know who's healthy at this point but I'd put any front-court member other than Novak at the 5 before I put Copeland there.

Yeah I dont know either. I only heard about Kmart. Woodys in a tough spot because it kinda does come down to either Cope or Novak unless the Bucks are small enough to slide Melo down.

Copeland would be matched up against Larry Sanders, the leading shot blocker of the league
A young 6'11 skinny, long, and athletic, a much more mobile younger Dalembert *who is also on the roster*

It would make sense though, Copeland would draw Sanders out, as we should probably play off this mismatch to initiate our OFFENSE, for majority of the plays
Not many Centers would come out to defend a shooter and Sanders is the leading shot blocker so he probably does not want to come out of the paint either
It would also build up his confidence as we would probably could utilize his ability in the playoffs if Woody would give him a chance *which i highly doubt, even with our injuries*
The effort is there and I think he should be rewarded for it...

Copeland is really slow has 3 rare skills that BIGs don't normally have, he

1- ability to hit the 3point shot, shoot off the dribble, and SHOOT ANYWHERE ON THE COURT

2- he has handle, with enough penetration ability to blow by 1 player when he respects his 3point shot

3- with a decent post game and decent IQ to play as a #1 option *which he was in Germany* He know's how to read DEFENSE's, knowing how to break them down, and know's how to move the ball to the right players much like Pablo, while using his ability to score to draw attention

Weakness
================
he has been giving a lot of effort on DEF and REB but he is never unlikely going to be good/great at it with his lack of speed/athleticism

Hows Sanders offensively? Is he gonna give Cope a lot of trouble?

One More

Marcus Camby Day-To-Day Apr 3
Comment: Camby (foot) is being saved as long as possible by Woodson. Plantar faciitis is a chronic condition that will probably not heal for another few months. The pain is usually worse in the morning when you take your first steps, after standing or sitting for a while and after intense activity. One unhappy landing and Marcus joins Amare... as done. Camby will play cameo minutes for conditioning and timing purposes only.

Melo's playing. Tyson's playing too. You forgot both our all-stars after 70 games?
Maybe go with Copeland as 5 tonight
