... that means this season will be the last time he hands the Larry O'Brien trophy to the champs.

And what better way to send Stern on his way to retirement than for him to hand that trophy to James Dolan? Look, say what you will about Little Jimmy (and most of us have) but it's in our best interests that he succeeds.

Really, how great was it seeing him hand it to Mark Cuban, a guy who's verbally buried him endlessly, two years ago?

EDIT: I just remembered Cuban stepped aside to let the original Mavs owner accept the trophy - but the point still stands.

Stern works for the owners, including Cuban. Cube has become less vocal and more involved over the years.

Im sure everyone will hate Silver in time. The conspiracies will continue to be suspected despite logic debunks.

Good leaders are not always good people, and good people are not always good leaders. The best commishiners are frequently disliked. The represent the owners and are paid very well. Its very rare they get the boot so the despite the unpopular stance they must be appreciated by them.

Stern awarding a Kennedy Trophy to Dolan? That will be a site!
