Dolan, 57, was walking into the exclusive club during Sundays Knick game against the Boston Celtics when security guard Fiordaliza Hernandez asked him for his ID which he never wears, sources said.

Instead of laughing it off, Dolan snapped, Do you know who I am?

Then Dolan demanded, How long have you worked here?

Three years, the guard said.

Im your boss! I pay your salary! Dolan shot back.

But rules are rules and Dolan didnt show his ID, so Hernandez refused to let him in, sources said.

Thats when Dolan became so angry he yelled: Give me your ID! Youre fired!

The stunned guard was sent home immediately.

I have to get new security in this building! I have idiots working here! Dolan ranted, sources said.

But the MSG honcho quickly reconsidered his decision, and last night, Hernandez was back on the job at a different post as the Rangers played the Winnipeg Jets.

Not much you can say about this, but what a buffoon LOL!

If she let someone into the exclusive Delta Sky 360 Club without ID that wasn't James Dolan, she would've gotten fired.

At least she got her job back after Dolan reconsidered. Dolan being Dolan.

Disagree chuckbuck. Firing the guy may have been harsh but considering that Dolan is practically a celebrity, there is no excuse to not know the man or woman that signs your checks.

In the words of the Rock, know your role.

It is possible that she truly didn't know who he was. Maybe when she got the job, it was through an agency, and she never was shown or dealt with upper management. But yea, 3 years working for the same company, you kinda have to have an idea who runs things. Guarantee you, she never makes that mistake with Mr. StraightShot again!

I hate stuff like this- hardworking people trying to do their jobs only to get abuse and fired by the whims of an egotistical boss. Her crime was that she didn't know what Dolan looked like. Glad she got her job back, could have had him done for unfair dismissal (he didn't have a security pass).

I too am glad she got her job back. God knows the countless "mis-management" miscues during Dolan's reign.

Hey smackeddog! Work, fam, took a little break from posting, etc.

Saving my Knicks fan energy for the playoff push.

How's the pulse been in these boards? Has the somberism completely taken over and are the Knicks doomed to failed even before we play 1 playoff game?

Dolan handled it the wrong way but he's right that a security guard at MSG should know who the boss is. Especially after 3 years on the job. I'm glad she wasn't fired though.

Ah he gave her the job back--from what I understand he has a bit of a Napolean complex but also seems to be all right with charities and helping people ut. Two sides of this particular dude.

I don't have a problem with her not letting Dolan in without ID. She still should know who Dolan is after 3 years at MSG. Dolan goes to some games, his own security not being able to identify him isn't a sign of a well trained staff.

So, she should not let anyone in without ID, lol she did her job.
Now what would have been funny is her telling him sure she knows who he is, wink wink, but you still cannot come in, rules are rules.

I would have fired her too, are you kidding me?

Her refusal to let him in was mindless, because he didn't have his id? No type of sense in this woman, I'm with Dolan on this one.

Whoever the guard is she have a great lawsuit against Dolan. That's why Dolan had to rethink it.

Likkle Jimmy loves his MSG restrictions, so he shouldn't be too pissed when they're being enforced fully. Although that chick should know better - unless JD had a bad hair day our something.

Both are idiots.

Your security staff should be trained to identify the execs of the building they are securing, and Dolan flipped his wig as usual.

She showed a lack of common sense judgement Im sure he saw a lot of himself in her and its why he went off.

For everyone who says the security guard should know what Dolan looks like - sorry, but that fat **** is pretty nondescript, and there are probably dozens of people in NYC area who resemble him and could try to bluff there way past a guard like that.
