![]() Who has the cap space to offer JR 9-10 million??? We can offer him that in January/February and his brother a job in the NBA.

He just needs to keep it up and the Chips will fall where they fall. |

"We're in a great groove. We're starting to jump out on teams early, playing great defense, communication is up and we're getting to the free throw line and making our free throws. We're tough to beat like that." - Earl Smith "I've never [seen him play] the way he's playing right now. I've seen him have his spurts, have his runs before, have some outstanding games, but the way he has it locked in right now, his focus level I haven't seen that in a long time." - Carmelo Anthony “He’s just getting to the rim and living at the foul line." - Iman Shumpert “He and I love golf and he’s putting the ball well. He’s making his 10-foot putts. He’s inside-out." - Jason Kidd "J.R.'s playing so complete right now, man. It's nice to see," - Mike Woodson. Testify once a knick always a knick

While I don’t expect Smith to average over 30 points a game for the rest of the season, he’s not necessarily as sure to cool way off as much as the hot three-point shooting that keyed the Knicks’ six game win streak earlier this season. He’s not scoring more simply because he’s got a hot hand, he appears to have fundamentally changed the way he approaches the game offensively. He not just choosing better shots either, he’s creating better shots. If this new JR sticks around, his contract is going to look like the biggest bargain in the NBA. More importantly, the Eastern Conference playoff picture may have just gotten a lot more interesting. - Darwin Kastle once a knick always a knick
