Love what JR is doing but there is part of me that believes he may revert to his old ways. If he can keep it up we have our batman and robin.

Not sure about that but I love how JR is playing. I do think the Knicks were able to keep their best free agent from 2012.

I always said Knicks can do damage if they get the right amount of hot at the right time, JR is a part of that,

At the same time, I'm looking at the bigger picture and this isn't the first time JR has had a hot streak where he was God of Buckets for a few games,

He'll never turn the corner because he will never be at the corner

No one is saying that JR doesn't have hot streaks sprinkled throughout his career. What people are saying is that he is doing it differently this time around. Also, people act like he hasn't had very efficient years not just streaks of shooting. Granted even those seasons he was playing a different role.

No are you arguing that Smith hasn't been more efficient than Melo? Actually Smith probably has locked up 6th Man Of The Year...Good for him...

Smith shot 12-18 for 37pts....

Melo shot 11-28 for 32pts.....


I called him Melo Lite weeks ago, like several weeks ago and he's played very well since..

I was thinking about that too. He's obviously playing much better than Melo is now and he's been outperforming Melo's career #s too.

This I agree with. Didn't Denver do pretty well with Melo, KMart and JR? It's no surprise they are still good together. A lot of guys on this roster have played on previously good teams.

Melo being on the floor allows opportunities for Smith.

Melo is being doubled and moving the ball. Only difference is guys are hitting shots again.

Also Smith is able to work in the paint since Chandler is not clogging the middle.

The important take away is that Batman(Melo) needed a Robin and I certainly hope JR can keep this up driving to the hole..That coupled with KMart and Chandler controlling the boards, interior defense, Shump regaining his confidence, could be a nice formula for the playoffs...

The team really needs Kidd and Camby healthy too but I don't expect that to happen.

Kidd is not healthy? Camby is not healthy? Camby is not being used and given the way this season has gone I wouldn't use him thst much either unless they face a team like Memphis.
