We would avoid Miami for two rounds if we are the 3 seed as well. Being the 2 seed we would play Boston in the first round which would suck so its better we get the 3 seed, play Atlanta and then Indiana.

That's with the standings the way they are now. With the was Boston is playing I wouldn't be surprised if Milwaukee was able to pull ahead. I would love to get the 2nd seed if it means we play Milwaukee in the 1st and then have homecourt advantage against Indy in the 2nd.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

Was just thinking the same thing last night looking at the standings. That would be our ideal outcome.

I want the 2nd seed, I want Boston!

Then Broolyn!

Milwaukee with its two quick guards can be a problem.

Lets dismantle this Celtic Era! At least we have something!

Be careful what you wish for with Boston. They are seemingly primed to be taken out, but that team knows how to play with KG on the floor. They'd give anyone a ton of trouble.

+1

I do think Milwaukee may be the easiest route to go, but not nearly as satisfying. Not to mention I don't know how pumped I can get for a week or two of watching the Milwaukee Bucks...

I'd be excited for either a C's or Hawks matchup.

I want the #2 seed regardless of who we play. The team I want to avoid the most is Chicago, and being #2 gives us the best chance to avoid that. Meanwhile, there's a chance Boston slips to #8 and we play Milwaukee in the first round. Hell yes. That's the ideal matchup for sure.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I think we need a SF/PF to put on Lebron/Durant, I think Hakeem Warrick(Syracuse Alumni) is a FA that we should call up, think he is playoff eligible since he was waived earlier
You don't want Melo defending these elite players, it just isn't to his advantage as he CANNOT DEFEND BOTH AND PLAY as a #1 option, in which he will still put up many low % shots
Is Melo willing to use his energy like Paul George did to STOP HARDEN, while less load on offense?
I don't think so....

Some other F options available

I wonder if Shawne Williams can still shoot, recovered from his ankle injury, and kept himself in shape?
Rodney Carnie ex sixer *was with Heat in training camp* so might have picked up some of the Heat's play with some of Lebron's tendencies...
DOMINIC MCGUIRE, a hustle player of the bench, if Renaldo Balkman developed with a shot, with some better skills he would be a decent player with his size/athleticism

JR SMITH/IMAN SHUMPERT are both too small to defend these SF/PF's

With

Rasheed Wallace
Kurt Thomas
James White

as all dead weight, we should look to cut some of these players and get some practice time to prepare for play offs NOW if we are serious about contending
In addition to the injuries of Amare/Chandler/ age of Kidd/Pablo
I hope we add Jannero Pargo to play Pablo's role with his hand/wrist/finger injury if Bobcats do not keep him since they are not in a play off push would do good for the franchise with a higher pick/along with the chance for Pargo to audition his services with a contender

If we can face a HEAT Team that get's worn out and face them in the ECF it would increase our chances tremendously, possibly someone like Wade/Bosh/Battier/Allen could get injured/worn out as well

^^^^ This. I want no parts of Chicago if we can advance to the 2nd round.

The story lines for a Boston and Brooklyn mathcup would be poetic, but the actual games on the hardwood would be difficult. Bostons experience and Brooklyns size would present problems for us. We dont have anyone to guard Joe or Brook. And Brook has been playing great as of late....

Exactly. Boston isn't what they were. Chicago is the worst matchup for this team in the east, including Miami. We might have a better chance of beating Chicago than Miami (barely), but we'd come out so bruised and battered that it wouldn't even be worth it.

I am not positive but I believe Shawne had more legal problems. It seems a bit surprising Warrick hasn't been picked up by anyone. If the Knicks did add a guy I am not sure what position you go for.

Honestly it is too late to add players that will get playing time. If things go right they will be adding enough during the playoffs with the players coming back from injury.

In regards to guarding Lebron: I thought Bass played him as well as anyone last year because he forced him out of the post. He did a decent job on his drives but he didn't have the foot speed to keep up. I think Martin is a better defender than Bass and he should be in peek shape by then. There are only a few players who are strong enough to bother LeBron in the post and make it difficult for him to drive. The Knicks have two of those players. Lebron will get his but it will be more difficult.

No fear

Lebron showed me an emotional weakness against the Bulls last night and..... he's afraid of Melo.

Wade is scurred of Shump and his Klypto hands on defense.

Kenyon Martin takes Wallace place in the front court

I like our chances, bring on south beach.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.
