You Make The Call

With Amar’e Stoudemire (knee), Rasheed Wallace (foot), Kurt Thomas (foot) and Tyson Chandler (neck) out for the foreseeable future, Martin is holding down the fort in the low post as the Knicks head into another brutal stretch of games.

April approaches as the coaches anxiously await The Easter Doctor's reports.

Amare is toast. Rasheed Wallace is probably playing pickup games in an undisclosed location. Tyson Chandler is suffering with multiple pains and bruises. Kurt Thomas would suit up tomorrow if it was the playoffs. Marcus Camby is marked Fragile: Do Not Drop.

In order of priority, which of our 6'10 Not Too Live Crew do you want most for the impending playoff battle?

Please state reasons why.

First things first, we need Chandler back. With Priggs getting more and more playing time, Chandler would fit like a glove and we just might see some beautiful bounce passes to him in the PnR. Not lobs from Felton which are easier to stop, but Priggs threading the needle.

If anyone else can return that would be just gravy.

Make no mistake that wallace, tyson and Amare are needed.

But here's how I look at it, against the bulls and pacers we going to need our bigs especially tyson and Amare, they are very physical and rebound the ball relentlessly. Amare can get there bigs in foul trouble, especially there bench squad.

Against miami, we need to have great guard play, plenty of ball movement and solid to great 3 point shooting. This is where Wallace will be needed big time.

Against the NETS, I'm praying we see them in the first round, I would love to see kidd and Kmart have a throw back series with the shoe on the other foot. The Nets are not built for a long playoff run, there just not deep enough. but I feel like Kmart can keep Evans and humphries from dominating the boards.

Hawks and Bucks don't scare anyone..

I think the Knicks should sign Ben Wallace. He said earlier in the season that he wasn't retired. He also played for and won a championship with Woodson. Wallace could be insurance for Camby and if the other bigs don't make it back. It also would be nice to have a bit more size if the Knicks end up going against a team like the Nets. The Nets were playing hump a lot last night along with Evans. Their size is pretty intimidating especially if you are relying on Martin and Camby to battle against them. Martin has proved more then capable but I think size like that could be overwhelming.

Problem is he was undersized and relied on his athleticism to compensate- not a good combination as you get older.

Ben Wallace was 6'5, tops. He used his afro illusion to full advantage.

Would have paid good money to watch him at Virginia Union.
