Was less a fan of dis guy than Jalen Rose, Reggie Miller and Antoine Walker...combined, still he has come back from "Bolivian" to contribute timely buckets and mannish rebounds.

Could it be that Kenyon Martin is our very own 2013 upgrade of Jerome Williams, aka the beloved Junkyard Dog?

I did not want him playing for us because I remember him being such a douche. But he has saved our frontcourt from oblivion and for that I am thankful. I am starting to warm up to the guy.

He has been a shocking surprise. I really hope they limit his minutes to 25 or so. He has been nearing 30 and we don't need another retiree, I mean Knick, getting injured.

Also, having Prigs in the backcourt starting with Felton is brilliant. Thank God Woodson finally made a move.

He has to put a more pleasing pic up at ESPN though...

One woman's douche is another woman's.... Oh never mind.

earthmansilversurfer is 100 per cent correct, Kenyon needs the Knicks photographer and a photoshop expert to clean up his NYK image.

"Yo dude, stand up straight!"

Now, go grab about 9 mannish rebounds and look for the quick outlet pass.

Let my people run!

Larry Bird was a legendary douchebag, but he could back it up

... only Isiah Rider and Ruben Patterson are missing from the all douchebag team.

We All Live in A Yellow Submarine

Felton, a douchebag forever because he is not Lin
Shump, a douchebag to Woodson for being a yoot - Red hated hoots
Copeland, a douche with a small "d" because he plays no D
Carmelo, Public Douchebag Number One, see Amare and his price tag
Kenyon Martin, Denver Douche, much less a douche than Darko, who was a major douche.

Pablo Prigioni, acted like a douche during the Olympics when he felt they got a bad call
Jason Kadd, acted like a douche driving while impaired
Tyson Chandler, a douce to Mark Cuban for walking away
Amare Stiudemire, douche for making too much money
Rasheed Wallace, a douche if he is not on your team. As one of ours, you gotta love him.

Mike Woodson, a douche for playing the wrong guys at the right time

Is there anyone in the City of New York who has never been a douche?

Agree. Now he is one of my favorite guys. In addition to being a dirty player I remember him doing things on the Nets that indicated he was just a bad guy. The laughing at Mourning in practice when he was struggling coming back from his kidney transplant was a particularly low moment for him.

Kenyon Martin makes Amare Stoudemire ("who?")... you know, Amare Stoudemire... The guy who said "the Knicks are back,"

"Oh yaah, that guy...what about him?"

He's had Tyson-Chandler like efficiency lately, which is good because we don't have Tyson right now.

The Scary Version

In limited minutes, Kenyon Martin has been more productive than Tyson Chandler beacuse he brings a more refined passing and scoring skill set. All we need is a David Lee-ish double double of 10 and 10 from Kenyon... and to add some spice to the passing game.

His emergence, along with renewed trust in Pablo Progioni as a starter, (with Felton enjoying his natural habitat as a shooting guard) is one of the cool subplots of the push to the playoffs.

Miami, unbeatable?

Yeah right.

Just keep it real , YOU WANT TO ROOT FOR EX KNICKS PERIOD, but ashamed to hang out at Nuggets forum.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

If we didn't have him we would be in trouble right now" - Jason Kidd

Martin's averages of 7.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 0.8 blocks don't jump off the page but he's doing it in 22.7 minutes per game. Per-minute, he's producing about as much as he did in his final few seasons in Denver. Through 10 games he's shooting 62.5 percent from the field.

"Somebody was going to sign him for a playoff run and it was going to probably be a pretty good team," said Woodson. "I'm just glad we were able to jump on board and get it done because who knows where we would have been if he wasn't here. It's good to have him."

While Woodson sees Martin signing somewhere as a sure thing, Martin doesn't look at it like that. Back in November, he told Yahoo! Sports that he would join any team that wanted him.

"I wasn't sure of anything," Martin said. "Nothing at all. It's just a blessing and an honor to be here."

Amazing how a career at a crossroads can be refocused.

I guess I'm in the minority on this one....But I always wanted him. Didn't care about his Nets history. I just knew his defensive intensity would be needed at the PF spot, since Rasheed was injured. I saw the impact of Wallace at the four and knew he left a big hole in our front court.

A defensive Forward that rebounds and doesn't need any offensive plays for him to impact the game is needed when you have Melo and Stat.

Playing For Now

“I’m playing for now and I’m playing for beyond now as well,” he said. “I just don’t want this to be it. If it’s going to be here next year, which I would love for it to be, I just want people to know that I still can play the game of basketball. I wasn’t the No. 1 pick for nothing.”

Absence makes the heart grow fonder of the roar of the crowd.

“It’s always a great feeling when the fans appreciate your craft,” Martin said. “They love their Knicks and they respect people who play hard. That’s what they do. They let you know when you’re not playing well, too.”

When the Garden crowd roars on your behalf, good things can happen.

I wasn't as forward thinking as yourself. Always saw him as that "Douchebag" that everyone pictured him being. Definitely happy that he's our douche bag now.

"I wasn't sure of anything," Martin said. "Nothing at all. It's just a blessing and an honor to be here."

All I want to know is, can we keep him for next year too?

"We are playing a game. We are playing at not playing a game..."
