not easy for a guy his size to play in the NBA
Nate wasn't the smartest, biggest, but he sure understands and appreciates what he has to continue to do EVERYDAY to be in the NBA
I wasn't a big fan of NATE when he was in New York but I think after traveling quite a bit, he really changed a lot things about his game, as the experience humbled/mature him a bit

He was great last season in GS already, but some say he did well on a BAD TEAM
In addition they got Jack this summer for barely anything in a trade, so Nate goes to a "contender" for a veteran min and NON GARANTEED and does the same things he did in GS
I don't think he is better than Jack but I think he is worth much more than the vet min
I hope he gets back a reasonable contract 3years, 9m or so, if Jason Kidd can get it at 40, I don't see what Nate should not deserve it.
He understands what he has to do as a starter, bench player, 6th man, or whatever role he needs to play with facilitating/scoring
Very under rated defender as well, with his strength/speed/quickness...

Also having a veteran to show some "rookies" how much work they must do to STAY in the league, is a great tool to have for any team, unless the team doesn't have any young rookies...

I don't quite follow your logic. Nate should get what a future HOF PG gets because... he bounces medicine balls off his sixpack? That's a bit of a reach, no? And I like Nate, always did. Hated the preening, loved the explosiveness.

For one season, he was the closest thing we ever had to having our own AI.

Nate should be paid way more than 1mm. The production he gives is more in the 3-4mm $ range and there is no doubt about that.

Same thing for JR Smith. The boneHead factor plays in.

Their talent has never been questioned, its the IQ. They can go out and score points.

Nate loses any athletic prowess his contract is a bad one.
