not easy for a guy his size to play in the NBA
Nate wasn't the smartest, biggest, but he sure understands and appreciates what he has to continue to do EVERYDAY to be in the NBA
I wasn't a big fan of NATE when he was in New York but I think after traveling quite a bit, he really changed a lot things about his game, as the experience humbled/mature him a bit
He was great last season in GS already, but some say he did well on a BAD TEAM
In addition they got Jack this summer for barely anything in a trade, so Nate goes to a "contender" for a veteran min and NON GARANTEED and does the same things he did in GS
I don't think he is better than Jack but I think he is worth much more than the vet min
I hope he gets back a reasonable contract 3years, 9m or so, if Jason Kidd can get it at 40, I don't see what Nate should not deserve it.
He understands what he has to do as a starter, bench player, 6th man, or whatever role he needs to play with facilitating/scoring
Very under rated defender as well, with his strength/speed/quickness...
Also having a veteran to show some "rookies" how much work they must do to STAY in the league, is a great tool to have for any team, unless the team doesn't have any young rookies...
