In 1985 with the last pick in the 2nd round the Knicks made one of their best all time non 1st round choices with Gerald Wilkins

and that was at a time when there was only pure in house scouting. He was purely a transition player athlete but played a great role for the Knicks--later on he became a reasonable shooter . Enter 2013 I think I have found the next Gerald Wilkins in Doug Andersen 6-6- 220 from Detroit Mercy. Same size same game built stronger

He looks great but I think you are comparing him to the wrong Wilkins. This kid takes off using both feet like Nique. Gerald takes off from 1 foot. He looks like a shorter Nique with those dunk shots.

WOW no And1 Mixtape music and the kid still looks amazing. Now thats impressive. Is this High School? Because there are so many videos like this on youtube where the kids look overmatched by a scrub who will never get a contract from any pro team around the world.

He has the chance to be a 15th man type on the roster who can be called in for energy. He needs development but the body athleticism package is there. A team that plays an up tempo style. He is likely to spend the first year in the D league.

He looks perfect for the rockets, GSW or knuggets

Agree, those teams really know how to get the most out of their picks, as far as the Knicks, another asset to trade for Grant Hill this offseason.

LOL. But watch, we get him when he turns 38 in a trade...

I see a younger, maybe more athletic Shannon Brown with no shot at all
Shannon Brown use to get up there and is very strong
He became a pretty good 3pointer shot with some decent penetration as a 6th man type player on the Lakers

I think we need someone that can play SF/PF with that ability not a PG/SG's size although he would be a lottery pick if so
We miss Wilson Chandler, his size, versatilty, his DEF, and all round skills...

he can jump and THAT is about it
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

In other meaningless 2015 NBA news:

...Yet another Knick makes a poor showing at the All Star Weekend Slam Dunk Competition

Doug Anderson, an extremely late second round pick out the University of Detroit Mount St Mary's Meat Packing Plant, (a sympathy pick, forcibly provided to the Knicks by new NBA Commish Phil Jackson) missed all 8 of his dunk attempts, including his feature dunk, where he attempted to back door all 15 (count 'em) Division 1A college rejects that had been the victims in all of his YouTube highlight vids, while they all stared dejectedly in different directions at one time.

Mr. Anderson had been coached for the event by now assistant coach James White.

In 1985 with the last pick in the 2nd round the Knicks made one of their best all time non 1st round choices with Gerald Wilkins
