Why is he not starting in place of Copeland or at least getting more burn?

They are guarding him. Novak is a role player in an offense that has good ball movement.

Novak is probably the worst defender in the league
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

We have 0 offense now, and Copeland is a more versatile scorer than Novak. When was the last time you saw Novak on the recieving end of a PNR?

Novak was a big disappointment this yeat. We all knew he was a one trick pony but last year he was automatic from 3

Novak is useless. He can't hit threes against good teams and has no other value. He was better last year. He's useless now: What good is a three point shooter who can't get open and can't create his own shot? His defense has gotten worse too. Not impressed at all.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Spree couldn't feed his dog with that contract.

Novak did manage to go +2 though. That has to count for something. Although how can you play in an NBA game at 6'10" and not get one rebound? The court's not really that big.

Honestly Novak hasn't been the same since woodson took over, he's look exactly the same he has for most of his career which is why he was a journey man.

You put Novak on that current lakers squad with guards and play makers like nash, kobe, and MDA's system..Smh

Even on The rockets squad back with Lin..He has look plain jane under mike woodson a predominate defensive minded coach.

If you can't get 10pg from novak, he's in the wrong system and not being used right. Under woodson, his shots seem rushed, he gets weak screens, and lots of moments where there's no ball movement.

In order for novak to have success (which we all saw with our own 2 eys) there has to be penetration( something lin does consistantly) ball movement(when melo was out thats all we did under MDA last season) and solid screens (JJ is a master screen setter).

Those 3 things have to happen, and as of late we have been inconsistant in all three areas, and so has novaks shooting

Why did the Spurs who have more penetrators than the globe trotters, send him packing ?

That coach could not use him as a rotation player, it's unfortunate that we could blame Woodson for Novack's lame game as a NBA PLAYER.

if he's got to guard a guy like Rudy Gay (forget abouet Lebron or Durant) over the course of a full night, it's over

but if Novak gets the ball with some space he's automatic and can put up points quick himself

Novak is a tool that the coach has to know how to apply,

Woodson is wasting Novak,

Novak is worth every penny of his deal and then some, trade him to Lakers and see how many buckets he will drop for you,

Novak has proven that he can shine under the big lights, see: last year,

But as Woody's reign continues, Novak's psyche is eroding,

last season Woody rode the hot Novak and probably didn't meddle very much with some things,

after a full offseason, Woody's corrosive influence has worn Novak down, he needs to be set free where he can make the rain,
